  1. Speaking of Neil Taylor, has he been mentioned? He's impressed me, I can't say I've seen enough of his defending to judge but he puts a mean cross in.

Skirge, there's nowhere near enough mobility among any of our striking options to play 4-4-2. It's my preferred formation but with the players available to us right now, it's a complete non-starter imo.

The timewasting was arguably the worst thing. Krul was at it almost as soon as the second half started. Very depressing to see us resort to that under the circumstances.

Absolutely, you can't argue with the points tally or the unbeaten record, it's excellent, but if we keep playing like this, it will very quickly go sour. Allardyce's early points total was the best start in years too but we all knew something wasn't right when he played for a draw at Pride Park. Pardew did that tonight and it was cowardly imo.
  5. It is his fault that he won't attack the left back though or attempt to get to the by-line though, even when they brought some kid on there.

Hilarious that he said having Carroll made us too direct. He thinks we're all bloody daft. Anton Ferdinand's never had an easier game.

Still a long way from convinced about him as a starter but I'll say one thing - he has really great feet. That skill in the first half to create our only chance was superb.
  8. At this point in time he doesn't even look like an upgrade on Routledge, never mind Joey Barton.

Better side against the mackems? Really? Fulham was the odd one out but even then, while we deserved the win, if Krul hadn't been on top form we could still have ended up with nowt. I think it's frightening how little we've managed to create in these five games against poor sides, Arsenal excepted.

I just wish I could see some semblance of a game plan or tactics. He doesn't seem to know his best formation or his best team or how they should be playing. We've been dominated in four games out of five, including by a League One side, and we look as unlikely to score goals as we have in years.
  11. Nut, are you wanting him left out on Saturday against N'Zogbia too? Do we have to keep him sidelined until he might face someone who shouldn't cause much bother? Begs the question of why buy him at all if that's the case. The manager doesn't seem to trust his own judgement very much based on who he's leaving out and the players playing ahead of them.

Krul might not have made a save but that is testament only to their shit finishing. They've missed at least three or four absolute sitters, you're kidding yourself if you think they didn't absolutely batter us.

New style. Laughable man, laughable manager.
  14. Obvious from Krul's timewasting that a point was the aim. Going to a promoted side and playing for a point, Allardyce would be proud. Fuck off Pardew.
  15. Take a point but only because that was an absolutely dismal showing. Totally outpassed and outclassed by a so-called inferior side. Absolutely pathetic.
  16. This makes some of the stuff Allardyce had us playing look positively slick. Long ball, long ball, long ball, long ball, long ball.
  17. Marveaux so unfit that he can't even manage 15 minutes? Or will he not improve this side? Either way, it's a farce.
  18. Jonas' left foot, I think we all knew where that was going.
