I think he took the job on the understanding that he must sell Carroll.

Can I have a shot of whatever you've been injecting? He had to go..Although the club probably has not been competent, a line as to be drawn. He's a professional, earing more money than most dare dream of. If he disagrees with how the club is run, use the proper channels, instead of posting stupid tweets .. What are the proper channels?

Like a Premiership football club is going to be put off a good player because of something he put on Twitter.

And they say football has lost its working class roots.

Only a matter of time until the screw starts to turn on the cunt. Why do you hate him? You're just doing it deliberately now. QFT. Fuck off the pair of you, if you don't want anyone to put any questions or other points of view then why spend so much time on a forum? Well howay man, why ask stupid questions with obvious answers? Is the sky blue?

Fair's probably not the best term for it. If he wanted to go there he could just as easily have handed in a transfer request rather than opening a twitter account to spread s**** and lower the fee for the club that's tapping him up. Care to explain why, if he was so desperate to go as is claimed, there was any need for the Twitter bollocks (or a transfer request), when the club were trying to sell him anyway? I've asked this about 10 times in this thread and still not had a decent answer. If we were so eager to sell, why we letting him go for free? Barton has made it clear he would not be sold at any price. He wanted to see out his contract or go for nothing. I believe it was a matter of principal following the manner of Carroll's departure, whereby the pushed him into the corner of a transfer request (which I think he was a t*** for submitting). The club therefore had a player who they would be forced to spend another £3m in wages on and who guaranteed a zero return. As with EVERY decision made at the club, this one was made to save money. Ashley's view is £3m is worth more than 30 odd appearances over the season from JB. I've heard the argument that 'if he wanted to go where's the transfer request' thing, yet by the same token if we were so desperate to get rid, why didn't we transfer list him? I'm sure some club would have spent £2-3m on him now. Do clubs really need to see somebody on a "transfer list" (has a transfer list ever existed? What form does it take?) to know they're available from NUFC? They're all available, all the time.

Scary thought right there. On the other hand, Vuckic, Ferguson, Kadar, Tavernier, Sammy Ameobi might more playing time as well, which is probably a good thing. Indeed. I hope. It's scary having to imagine Shola and Loven up front for us ever again. The two most ineffective 'forwards' in the league, most probably. Not even close tbh.

You didn't reckon on Ian.

Comparing footballers to your, or anyone else's, own employment is totally and utterly pointless.

Yet you've gladly sing Hughton's praises? Pardew is an absolute cretin but him and Hughton are both distinctly average mangers. Distinctly average? His acheievements suggested otherwise. I certainly rated him higher than average ability wise where as he was an outstanding decent human being too, the kind you always want associated with your club rather than cretins, f*** ups and absolute mugs like the likes of Pardew et al who infest every f***ing aspect of our once proud club. I cannot wait until the day the likes of Pardew are long gone from any chain of power at NUFC. The man doesn't deserve to be called manager of Newcastle United, a position not so long ago Sir Bobby proudly held. It's easier to sing Hughton's praises because he was top bloke, Pardew isn't. However when it comes down to result they did a very similar job in the top flight. Apart from Liverpool for obvious reasons, Pardew's failure to take three points off any team that wasn't still in danger on the last day should be a very loud alarm bell. Tactics are about getting more than the sum of the parts out of the team and Pardew has proven himself to be miserably bad at it. Results like going to Goodison and the Emirates and coming away with three points will never happen under this man. The less said about his impact on team spirit the better. He has absolutely decimated it. And Hughton's inability to get results at home? What, like going an entire season unbeaten there or battering two top half teams 6-0 and 5-1? Give over man. Take Liverpool away, he won two games at home, Pardew won three but played more games (two of those against teams who get relegated that Hughton never played). There's no improvement there imo.

I can't feel sorry for the c*** when he was waiting in the wings for months before CH was sacked and then blatently bullshitted his way into town, without stopping for breath since. A trio of Grade A c***s. Only a matter of time until the fans turn on him. Well, maybe so. I'm purley looking at this situation. Ive no doubt as a manager, Pardew wants to suceed and be known as a good manager. But, of course, he knew what he was getting into, he even said so in his first press conference. I also think he desprately wanted to keep Barton, and, im sure he is pretty pissed off about the situation. Will be interesting to hear his next press confrence whenever that is,. I can't think of anything less interesting. He'll be a good lad and spin the club line like he always does, the fucking snake.

Thought Cabaye, Ba and Marveaux were all on mega-wedge, hence the reason we can't spend?

If he wanted to go there he could just as easily have handed in a transfer request rather than opening a twitter account to spread shite and lower the fee for the club that's tapping him up. and if we wanted to keep him we could've given him a fair contract this summer. we dont want to keep him because we dont want to pay what he's worth as a footballer, again. At the moment it looks like no one else wants to pay him what he's worth either unless they get him on a free. If he's all that you would have thought these mega clubs would have stumped up the odd million or so it would have took to buy him rather than resort to getting him to play up and reduce the fee to nowt. Tron, why do you always need your mind made up for you on a player depending on which club they sign for? I can make up my own mind and Barton wide right is absolute quality. By your logic, all our players are automatically shit by virtue of playing for us.

We don't have a better first team. We'll see won't we. I think: Krul Simpson Coloccini Williamson New LB Gutierrez Cabaye Tiote Marveaux Ben Arfa Ba Is better than: Krul Simpson Coloccini Williamson Enrique Barton Nolan Tiote Gutierrez Ameobi Lovenkrands I'm including Andy Carroll, which is only right given the number of points he won us. And your new left back is highly unlikely to be better than Jose Enrique, in fact given his ability it's almost certain to be a significant downgrade.

Buying players with questionable injury records gives us less chance of coping with injuries. We've only brought in one player with a questionable injury record. I do agree however that the squad is short. Ba and Marveaux both have big question marks hanging over them imo. Ba's appearance record isn't bad but clubs do medicals for a reason and it takes a fair old problem to fail one. And he's our only real striker, let's face it, an injury to him or simply not living up to expectations and we are really struggling.

That's already happened btw, Marveaux and Tavernier. We've replaced two right sided midfielders with a left winger and a full back?

How the fuck is a good player "a toxic asset"?
-
why? Because pummelling a teenager in the face and getting a 6 month sentence is one thing, we can understand that, who hasn't done it? But writing some tweets about your contract situation is beyond the pale. A new low. Welcome back.
-
why? Can't pass, can't take corners, can't take free-kicks. Gobs off all day long on Twitter, and disputes the managers decisions. Previously convicted of behaviour such as stabbing cigars in teammates eyes & punching people on the training ground. Why would you? Because he's a good player. Real football clubs rarely make decisions based on anything else. Can't pass or take set pieces? Righto.

Why I'm I involved in it?
