Really? I'd believe Thomo, Nicko and even Ally before I believed Keith Harris. The man is a professional bullshit merchant.

This thread might well be the worst thing on the internet. Give me goatse.cx ahead of this drivel anyday.

There's no way I'd picking that fat knacker Nolan like, especially not off a front man. To what end exactly?
-
And the money is never seen again, apart from all that, they're doing a blinding job.
-
They'd have to be Shearer, Solano and Woodgate to negate the effect of the other wankers we'll be fielding.

It only occurred to me about two days ago that we've lost Lovenkrands. What a fucking shambles. He'd have been an asset in the CCC. The new season is only going to reignite my hatred of the despicable crooks running our club, I can tell.

What the hell else are you supposed to do on a Sunday night? Carry on then, just seems like a pointless waste of time to me. You've no possible way of knowing one way or the other. Mind you I ran out of patience with this saga last September.

Repressed? Footballing opinion and amateur psychology rolled into one, I like it. -
Fuck me, why don't people just wait and see instead of debating whether or not the lad's bullshitting for 15 pages?

Hit me briefly today when I saw the CCC advert on Sky Sports.

Smith's the worst type of coward on the pitch because he pretends that he's not.

SSN: £10m offer from Spurs for Sebastien Bassong rejected
Wullie replied to Crumpy Gunt's topic in Football
Bassong's worth more than £10m imo. Mind you, I'm judging that on Glen Johnson being worth £17m so there's not realistically enough money in football to buy Bassong. Probably not the best comparison to make (Olivier Bernard and his hip are still worth a good £8m on that sliding scale). -
Don't think I'd want any of that motley crew taking the armband. It turns my stomach that Alan Smith captains NUFC.

Pity Ashley wasn't so keen on keeping our best players when it mattered. -
That's absolutely amazing from the mackems, nobody else in football could bring enemies together like that. Brilliant. Just got back from SJP myself after paying my respects to the great man, the response has been incredible.

Alan Smith criticizing Habib Beye?!? Is the world upside down?
-
why ? Because the money will vanish, just like the £20-odd million we got for Milner, N'Zogbia and Given did. most of those monies are still to arrive aren;t they and those that have arrived probably went into the coffers to help finance the wages and other debts. Not got any debt according to Mike.

Dunno why anyone's happy about the price seeing as we'll never see it. I'd sooner have given him away.

I've dreaded this day for years. The world is a poorer place today.

If billionaire Mike Ashley's asked the squad of a debt free (his words) club to take voluntary pay cuts then he's even more of a lunatic than he comes across. He hasn't though because he knows they'd laugh in his face. Beye would happily have stayed if the club didn't practically have a "Closing Down" banner up in the window imo.
-
Even if he's like Shinawatra and just puts a few in the reserves? Did Shinawatra ever say anything like this bloke allegedly has about Thai football? He's clearly thinking more along the lines of Hearts than Man City.

Ridiculous analogy. Why should it be any different? They are paid to play football for this club at a high standard, why should they be allowed to expect a transfer when it's those very players that got us relegated, none of them wanted to take pay cuts, blaming everyone but themselves, it's ridiculous that you sit here and defend them, those players got us relegated, no one else, the fact that any of them are clapped off like hero's when they go and join another club is absurd. It's different because Habib Beye didn't make a mistake that got us relegated. Would I walk away from my hypothetical company if the owner had made a string of catastrophic decisions that had brought it to its knees before walking away and leaving it with no management and no hope while the thriving company over the road offered me a job? Probably, yes. "None of them wanted to take pay cuts" ffs. That's one thing I'm always doing at work like, asking them to give me less money so they can afford an extra box of pens in the stationary cupboard. You are categorically saying Beye made not mistake or error? The penalty at home to City? That could be deemed a mistake as he saw red for it, whether you think it was a penalty. And as for your patronizing pens in the stationary cupboard remark, the difference is Beye and thoes around him should be taking the cuts due to their own poor performance and relegation, that is my point, if you don't perform you don't get the top money, why should it be different? I bet if we were still in the top flight with no manager and owner half of these would at least stay till january, instead they can't get out quick enough, all of this "aww but I love the fans, I'm settled here" No, they love the over blown money they've been paid for turning in average performances, I'm not picking on Beye, Martins even Bassong towards the end went south, and made two or three mistakes, Tottenham and Wigan away, Fulham at home. It's the fact we got shoved this faux loyalty by the likes of Martins and Beye, one loves the city the others learning Geordie, just for them to be first out the door when it hits the fan, Martins is one of the biggest culprits, he missed two golden chances at Spurs and Portsmouth, both would have seen us survive. His big "mistake" that he should take a paycut for being an absolutely perfect tackle rather strengthens my point tbh. I get paid my wage regardless of how I perform tbh. That's how a contract works. And (relatively speaking) Habib Beye has been 100% worth his salary at NUFC imo. This "paycuts" drivel is fucking ludicrous. Has anyone asked them to take a paycut? Or do you expect them to be rushing round SJP desperately trying to find someone to lower their salary off their own bats? You can think what you like about Martins, Beye and Bassong - I think if the rest of the squad was of their quality, we'd have survived quite comfortably. Better to have dross that "wants" to be here.

For the record, I think I'd rather have Shepherd back than some bloke (fictional or otherwise) whose number one priority is to further Iranian football.
