  3. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=46GjdRj0Lrk eat your heart out Roberto Carlos Roberto Carlos and Laurent Robert were both renowned for their exceptional left-footed shooting power and free-kick prowess, often compared in terms of their ability to score from extreme distances. TikTok +1 Roberto Carlos is widely regarded as one of the greatest left-backs in history, known for his speed (100m in 10.9s), immense strength, and ability to generate massive power and curve (approx. 140 km/h or 86.5 mph). Key Achievements: 2002 World Cup winner, multiple Champions League and La Liga titles with Real Madrid. Signature Style: Famous for the "banana kick" free-kick against France in 1997, utilizing the Magnus effect to create extreme spin. Defensive Role: Primarily a left-back, known for attacking prowess, though sometimes criticized defensively compared to peers like Maldini. Facebook +5 Laurent Robert was a French winger celebrated for his thunderous shots and direct free-kicks, particularly during his time at Newcastle United. Key Attributes: Known for his powerful, direct free-kicks from distance and "ninja" style acrobatic goals. Comparison: Often cited as the only player to come close to Roberto Carlos in terms of sheer long-range shooting power. Key Differences: Position: Roberto Carlos was a left-back/wing-back, while Laurent Robert was a left-winger. Impact/Legacy: Roberto Carlos had a more decorated career at the highest level (World Cup, multiple UCLs), while Robert is remembered for his spectacular long-range efforts. Style of Strike: While both were powerful, Carlos was known for extreme curve/swerve, whereas Robert was known for direct, piercing power.
  4. Wot no updates during the spuds game?
  5. I baled out of watching footie in 2015 partly due to officials incompetence/corruption and only recently started watching the Toon in Europe. I watched the Villa highlights to see how sh1t they still are and watched the Citeh game after the comments on here. I won't be watching again any time soon.
  6. Just watched MOTD for the 1st time in years.....vomit inducing blowing smoke up Citeh and not a single mention of the Toon.
  7. Adolescence star Owen Cooper gave a nod to Liverpool Football Club after he won at the Golden Globe film and TV awards. The 16-year-old rounded off his acceptance speech for best supporting actor with an "You'll never walk alone" club anthem reference.
  8. Can't stand John Murray....spent most of this mornings sports bulletin on R4 talking about Real Madrid then says Tottenham drew 2-2 with Bayer Leverkusen.
  9. Bustard! Think you can just swan in here and nick my joke?
  10. What a carrion, nothing to crow about.
