Perhaps it's the kick up the arse he needs to sort himself out.

There were suggestion boxes on a few of the tables. It was also possible to send in questions via Twitter.

'Feel the burn' Quality work!

Is Merlin still around on here? He was involved with the original Magpie Group. Their aim was very different and was built around chasing folk all over the UK/the world, who had shares in NUFC, which allowed Sir John Hall to mount his takeover. I remember Merlin telling me that he did countless miles on the road, with the likes of Malcolm Dix. I'm old enough to remember that time and the 'Sack the Board' protests - as no doubt some others are on here. It was a desperate time, which involved a supporters boycott (Leeds at home in 1989, when Quinn bagged 4) - I went to that game however! Was also involved in a couple of sit down protests in the Gallowgate. Many of us were young and daft at that point, blinded by our love of NUFC. I didn't stop going. However, now I'm older and wiser - and the only time I go to games now, is to support my best mate as he's a disabled season ticket holder. I still feel the pull to go back - none more so at the end of last season, when Rafa has us all feeling optimistic. However, it didn't take Ashley long to burst the bubble. I think protests inevitably have to move inside the ground - with perhaps the targeting of TV games as we move towards Xmas and 2019. As someone said last night - when Rafa leaves next year, NUFC finally dies.

The mackems are struggling to stay relevant at the moment - the hatred of us (by some) is the only thing they have left to hang on to. Is the TF podcast of the meeting due out later in the week?

He was fucking crackers!

Oh yes now we're talking. I'm there Should move inside the club shop with the protest That was discussed. Problem is that the club would be able to eject protesters, as it's private property, Anything from the road over to the path beside St James' Metro is public ground - NUFC can't do owt about that.

I've just checked RTG (as Bingo said) and the mackems really do have a 12 page thread on tonight's meeting! :: Obsessed? Not much!
-
Sorry for dodging out without saying goodbye, Bingo - wor lass rang! :: Great to meet you, as well as Rod, Mark C, Paully, Rich (+brother), Greg and a couple of other lads. Great to put some names to faces. Thought the meeting went really well - everyone who wanted to speak got to - lots of good ideas and some not so, but good all the same. I asked a question and also gave Newcastle Online a bit of a shout out. I will definitely be at the next meeting, though I don't think I can make the protest before the Arsenal game, as that's my weekend with the bairn. Feel energized after tonight, Whilst I can't offer much in the way of tech skills, I can speak and write and I will endeavor to do so. The clock is ticking.... 8 months to save NUFC.

Perhaps we could do with an up to date one, KI. I know Greg has ginger hair and a beard?

Various: Mike Ashley in talks with Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nehayan
Big Geordie replied to Kaizero's topic in Football
Thought the presenter and JJ were spot on. The latter has now gone up in my estimation again, after the 'goldfish bowl' comments that he made some years ago. As for Ferdinand - he's taking the Ashley coin and has now been made a complete mug of. Richard Dunne just doesn't care about being involved in that discussion. Must say, fair play to If Rafa Goes for doing the digging. The truth will always out, in the end. -
Took my daughter and nephew to Blyth v Altrincham, yesterday. Spartans won 2-1 and whilst being fortunate, they've been due some luck in recent weeks. Just shy of 700 at Croft Park.

Rafa again today. #TrustInRafa
