We're awful defensively and need to start picking up away points. If there's a time of the season to forget pretty football and just do what needs doing, this is it. We've not played pretty football away from home, all season! It's just the same rubbish which has gotten worse by the month. There's zero gameplan, belief or determination. Too many simply going through the motions, with one eye on their next move and of course, backed by an impotent and clueless coach. We've approached games more openly and been cut through with alarming ease. When? :: -

I've just been called 'worse than a sex offender' by a mackem, because I questioned Sunderland's statement. :: Christ!

Andy Hughes @SkyAndyHughes 1m1 minute ago As Johnson leaves the courtroom a journalist asks him: "Do you want to say sorry to the girl." AJ ignores him and goes into room with lawyer

Others still arguing elsewhere, that Sunderland statement is 'fine and covers everything'. ::

Andy Hughes @SkyAndyHughes 1m1 minute ago After being found guilty, Stacey Flounders looked at #AdamJohnson but he didn't look back. Just stared straight ahead.

Probably more to do with the games not being on terrestrial TV and the English teams doing badly than any other reason. It's a brilliant competition and should be left the way it is It should be returned to the way it was. Knock-out format and back to the three competitions.

If the 'bigger' clubs want to go, let them fuck off. No wonder the TV ratings for the CL are falling - it's a boring stitchup to which only a few are invited.

Genuinely don't think he'll be sacked even if we go down. I actually think there's a bigger chance of us sacking him if we stay up. If we only just stay up, they might look at the useless bastard and say "Sorry Schteve, this isn't what we expected from you, get the fuck out", while if we go down they'll look to save money on sacking him and finding a new manager and think that he's a decent manager to get us back up. If we do stop up (and I don't think we will) the club will celebrate it as the Great Escape, and declare McClaren to be a magician in keeping us up. It's all about the bottom line and controlling the message that comes with it.
