  1. I shared that Chron piece on FB today and a couple of my mates were saying that Pardew wasn't really to blame, that it was more down to Ashley (which of course, it is) However, I refuse to give the smarmy cunt a free pass.
  2. I no longer go to games, nor do I have Sky Sports anymore. What I will say is that a half empty St James Park won't look very good for a live game.
  3. One thing is to be said - if we do go down, loads of the day-trippers will disappear with no PL football to watch.
  4. Yes, all true and all this stuff about 'playing teams at the wrong time' is just pure excuse-making and must make Ashley ROFL - he has been outstandingly successful at getting NUFC fans to accept both his philosophy and his projection that the club is just a 'make up numbers' outfit.. Funny how other teams nearly always used to come up against us 'at the wrong time' when KK(especially)and SBR were running things - but then, NUFC fans have always found an excuse to justify their continuing to turn up to watch rubbishy sides... I think this is what the folk behind Ashley Out need to go with- gloves off, etc. The local media have been complicit in this too - the papers and Radio Newcastle.
  5. I know and its sad. Again, we should never get beaten 3 zip at home to Leicester. Its not even like its freak results, its common. We are considered a win for most teams these days, home away, be it Watford or Man City. We are a home or away banker. Sad sad days! It's back to the bad old days of McKeag. Another owner who sees the club as a cash-cow for his own personal gain.
  6. HTT - that's been drummed out of the club, purposely since Ashley bought us. And the majority of match going fans now buy into it and believe it. Brain washing en masse.
  7. I've voted yes, because we need a big clear out and a couple of seasons treading water in The Championship, will hasten the owners exit. A huge drop in TV cash and less exposure for his brand. What does he then have to stay for?
  8. Ranieri is very experienced and aye, he's doing really with with Leicester. They are very organized and play to their strengths, They also have owners with ambition and not a one who wants to drown the club in mediocrity.
  9. My call on tonight's Total Sport, if anyone fancies listening. 9mins in; http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p037b852#play
  10. I think it's the jist of what he said. Got the bairn running around here, so it was hard to hear! Was having a go at him not you Aye - I know. Was just saying that I may have misheard.
  11. I think it's the jist of what he said. Got the bairn running around here, so it was hard to hear!
  12. Maclaren; "Football kicks you right where it hurts. Today was a setback, but not a typical performance - very disappointing and we need more consistency. Full credit to Leicester - no excuses for today. We were poor today. Only thing we can do is get back to work on Monday and work hard to put it right. Bournemouth result may have masked today's performance. International break didn't come at a good time. Understand's the fans frustrations." Lowes trying to put a positive spin on it, citing Leicester's example of how things can turn around. Maclaren unsurprisingly agrees with him!
  13. He agreed with a fair bit of what I was saying, but stopped short of sticking the boot in. Won't want to lose his press pass.
  14. Paul Dummett; "We made it too easy for them, all over the pitch. We've had a few good performance of recent, but today wasn't good enough for Newcastle United. We didn't create many chances - Leicester are a good side. No work ethic today. Need to pick ourselves up v Palace, next week" (talking to Mick Lowes)
  15. Maclaren's interview coming up soon. I'll post what I can from what he says;
  16. called it right. I hope I managed to get my points in, in the short time I was on. It's annoying that in the main, it's folk like us that only seem to care and worry (that no longer go to games) whist the day trippers still lap it up.
  17. No way Moyes or Rodgers would come and work for Ashley.
  18. Players clearly aren't playing for him, so he has to go. Mind, who will they play for? They aren't interested and don't care.
  19. Nope, but they have ambition to be as good as they can be, rather than being ran to make a profit, first and foremost. Pardew will be rubbing his hands for this, next week. 3-0 now.
