Barton will be a big miss should he go to QPR - no doubt about it. So the assett stripping/cost cutting continues apace whilst supporters continue to be conned by those running the club. Where is all of this going to end? I'll tell you where - the club will reach Sept 1st with either no LB signed, or Wayne Bridge on loan and no striker coming in. Ashley will be quids in yet again after another window. You cannot run a football club like you do on Football Manager.
-
This. And no striker to come in either. Llambias really knows how to quash the feel good feeling.
-
Is it that bad? He needs a win very soon.
-
5Live making excuses for Sunderland already. What ever happened to the 'Mag-edia'?
-
and Sunderland lose. What a shame! Bring back Peytar!
-
Brighton should probably just have had a pen. 'Lucky' mackems again though they sound under the cosh.

Us at Spurs in the FA Cup in 87 was supposed to be very similar. 12000 went down for that and were shoehorned in by all accounts, with some fans having to escape by climbing to the top tier. Am sure there are some fellow old-timers on here who may well have been there (I listened in on Metro) just reading back through this thread, i posted about that very match, got seperated from my dad in the crush- it was mental, i watched it from top of a fence, just to get out the crowd, as a skinny 19yr old. Yup - noticed that having re-read the first page.

Yup - you might be right.

Has anyone had any trouble with clicking and bobbles as yet? I've not bought one because when I had a look close up, the material felt 'cheap'.
-
I hope the matter is debated in parliament and that those 'significant papers' are released into the pubic domain. Sadly I suspect the truth will remain covered up for some time yet until all of the major protagonists are dead or too unwell for further investigation.

Ahh I see, I used to work in the shops but got moved to Admin about a month ago. Much better like! On Ranger, that doesn't surprise me at all like. She enjoys doing what she does. Ranger is a dick by all accounts, but we all know that already!
-
Aye Dancer - she's just taken over as manager at the Heaton branch. Ranger is a regular there by all accounts.
-
Isn't Peytar still in charge at Plymouth or did they boot him out?
-
Don't know if this is cosha or not, but my sister (who is a manager for William Hills) has heard that Monkey's Heed is being lined up to replace Bruce. Probably total bollocks, but you never know.
-
Terrific. A typical ignorant mackem knobjockey!
-
It's quite amazing really, given that they seem to be such a well run club with regards to the resources they have available to them.
-
I'd imagine if it gets that bad, they will sell the likes of Rodwell and Fellani to raise some cash. Think Yakubu is still on the books there, so he will probably be draining a fair wedge in wages.
-
Aye - credit is due. Still much work for him ahead though. Aye, I really hope the board get him the couple of players he needs to crack on this season. He deserves a fair shot Things will look a lot better if we manage to get a LB and a striker in. He (Pardew) needs to stop kissing Ashley and Llambias' arses so much and also stop telling the occasional lie in order to placate fans.
-
This. Don't think he's ever been to a game here of recent (since our return to the PL)
