  1. They are certainly reining us in a bit at the moment. Probably something of a honeymoon effect, but fair play all the same.
  2. Here's his Wiki page; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lewis_Dunk
  3. Not overly plussed with what I've read in this morning's Journal (if it turns out to be true) As ever, Ashley and Llambias being true to form with running the club on the cheap. No ambition to progress whatsoever.
  4. Just finished watching MotD. Thought the Barton red card was extremely harsh (ref and lines'person' went off the reaction of the Norwich players) and how the hell did Lampard stay on the pitch for Chelsea today?
  5. Leeds 2-1 McCormack Jammy yorkshire bastards. Simon Grayson in a job for a bit longer.

I definitely go with the idea of having a go at the Mancs on Wednesday night. Now (with their injuries) might be a good time to catch them and what do we have to lose? If Pardew shows too much respect, we'll end up getting bummed anyway. We are the home side, afterall.

    RIP Gary Ablett

RIP - was one of my nicknames during my Uni years (some reckoned we looked a like!) Sad news.
  8. Great win for them, though the goal was half a yard offside.

I'm not sure how he thinks we can push on for a Europa Cup place, without significant investment? Geordie Beano is suggesting that he's got £8million to spend this window, which won't go far!
  10. I'd wager the players were following his instructions last night, so it looks like Pardew is trying to pass the buck on this one.
  11. All the best, fellow Mags.

Depends on whether or not we can keep our quality players. We struggled and ultimately failed to hold on to Enrique and Carroll. Wouldn't be surprised to see the same happen again. Absolutely. There's the nucleus of an extremely good side, there's no doubt about that. With the outgoings and incomings of the summer, we've improved, but only slightly. We need to build on it as soon as the January window opens. It's all obvious. Everyone knows this - the board included. They're not stupid people; they know that if we keep our good players and sign more of them, we'll get better. We have the capabilities to do this; it's a question of whether or not Ashley and Co care about the football. Yorkie - Ashley now has the ground packed out, the team are 'safe', so why should he invest given his past history? We all know what the man's modus operandi is!
  13. Obertan will continue in his recent vein. How many ex Man United players have a blinder when they come up against their old side? They all normally bend over and this lad will be no different.

When we've slipped out of contention for 7th is a fair shout given that most of the people having a go now didn't give us a cat in hell's chance of finishing top 10 back in August. We won't finish top 10 if this slide isn't arrested though! Fair enough, we've played some 'big sides' but that's no excuse for poor tactics and choices. He has to take some of the blame, as he took some of the credit when we had our good run.
  15. Can't see anything other than a comfortable Man United win, at the moment sadly.

Course he deserves some criticism, but the majority is pathetic tbh. He wasn't Mourinho when we went close to 20 games unbeaten from our last trip to Anfield, same way he's hardly Souness now. Questions have to be asked though surely? Our good start to the season could be in real danger of being pissed away.

Also - Man United (despite their injuries) will destroy us next Wednesday night if he repeats tonight's formula again. The fact we are at home may mean that he has to be braver. We have little to lose in actually having a go and trying to play some football.

Poor choices and tactics today and as well as he has done (in general) he has to take the criticism when it rightly comes for what has been a poor run of form. He's having to continue showing faith in players who are not doing it, because there is no other option. The squad needs some significant strengthening but we all know it's not going to happen. A mid-table finish is the maxium that we can hope for under this regime and that's where we will end up if we do not invest.
