  1. Lots of spare one's in the Milburn posh seats, as well as the East Stand/Gallowgate Corners from what I could see.
  2. Played well today and I enjoyed my first time in the Singing Corner. Lots of songs and a cracking atmosphere - throat is a little sore now. Turned up for the protest before the game - few folk there, but as said previously plenty of young'uns desperate for the media attention. Did owt happen after the game?
  3. Yup - I was at the Fenhurst back in Jan. Not good and the arsehole element of our fans did themselves no favours.
  4. I would hope that the players would know what the hostility is for and who it is aimed at. Surely they can't be sitting that daft in their ivory towers? I bet most of them hate him too secretly for the way he has ****ed them about as much as us.
  5. Blef The apathy that exists in many of our 'fans' is the real danger and this is what Ashley has been building his campaign on. People who might whinge to their mates in the boozer, but will still turn up, buy the tops/food at the ground and accept what they are given. These people are the 30000 customers that Graeme Souness commented upon some years ago. I'm no lover of Souness, but in this instance he is right. Too many fans who don't care enough and will happily bend over whilst Shepherd/Ashley gives them a good buggering. If more people climbed off the fence and joined in the real opposition to the regime, then he would be worried. Until then (as the poll suggests) - it's not going to change any time soon.

Hodgey - he said that his family had received threats after the Keegan business. The Chief Constable of Northumbria Police was asked about it and he said he had heard nothing. And guess what - nothing happened afterwards. It was another lie to deflect attention back on to the fans.
  7. I'll be there and will also contribute to any peaceful protest.

The complete lack of searching questions or damning criticism of the f***ing Bert 'N' Ernie show on Barrack Road - aside from the likes of George Caulkin - has been nothing short of a disgrace. Lowes and the BBC will have had to follow the party line, otherwise Llambias would have refused to talk. The club would also probably seek to cancel their contract with Radio Newcastle. should they have been too hard on them. The interview will have been ringfenced from the start. All journalists, including those working for the BBC, have a duty to report the facts as they see them, and to include editorial content to express their opinion of the situation. We don't want journalists who are afraid to speak the truth, or who kowtow to the idiots "managing" NUFC in case their journalistic privileges are taken away. The pen is mightier than the sword is true only if those wielding it have the courage to tell it as it is, and to rip into Ashley and his cronies in the strongest possible way. Caulkin has set the standard, the other Newcastle based journalists have a lot of catching up to do. I'll say again - Llambias will have refused the interview unless he had control over what questions were asked.

They could report what they want, they just chose to be soft, like most of the other fence sitters on here I beg to differ. I know someone who works on the show, I'll ask him what the craic is.

It's a deliberately provocative move for me - he's intent on breaking the backs of the fans and possibly the club too. No mistake about it - this is personal and has been for some time. Pleased I got my Peterboro ticket today, so I can go and join in the protests. Was also interviewed by Radio Newcastle/Look North upon leaving the ticket office and I showed my displeasure. Cracking looking lass with the TV camera too.
  13. Horrible idea. Sad thing is that Llambiarse and Ashley will probably believe that this latest statement will placate the fans. And that's who'll end up sponsoring the stadium if it goes through - Ashley's own business. I mean which company/organisation in their right mind would seek to align themselves with this man?

    Jonas Gutierrez

jonas is a good a player as robert......but he just can't be arsed. I've never seen a hint of any of the qualities that Robert had, where Jonas is concerned.

    Jonas Gutierrez

Jonas isn't fit to tie the boot laces of the likes of Solano and Robert that I've seen this decade in black and white. They were REAL wingers, particularly the latter and I remember the stick he used to get at the time from many fans. He offered the lot - pace, goals, assists, flair and invention. In fact, what's Robert doing now - is he still without a club? A 33-34 year old Robert would offer us a lot more than this Argie pretender. Roma want him in Jan? Sell him and get a decent winger in with a bit of pace and end product!

    Jonas Gutierrez

Yeah - can't argue really but he gives us an outlet/option that commits the oppo defence. They can't ignore him....maybe in a weird way he's a holding midfielder. I really don't mind when he's on the pitch. A winger is ultimately judged on his assists and goals. He offers us neither.
  17. It was a very difficult chance (not even a half chance really) - ball dropped over his shoulder and he took it on the volley. Was all he could do.

    Jonas Gutierrez

He was pish tonight - looks very much the fancy dan with bott all end product.
  19. He handled Morgan very well tonight and as close to a classic centre-forwards performance as I've seen from him so far. Needs to keep working hard and improving - no resting on his laurels. Just think of the goals he would get, had we two good wide men......
  20. Poor first half. The way Hughton has us set up, is that we've come for a point. Can't even hit them on the counter as there's zero pace in the side. Jonas might as well not be playing. Carroll doing OK and getting the better of Morgan, but he needs some support badly. Ranger on for Butt please.
  21. Has anyone thought about what might happen if we don't get promoted? No way this clown will continue to put £20million a year in to keep us going. Christ knows what will happen then. Promotion is not a forgone conclusion - especially with Ashley and his puppet at the helm.....
  22. Been thinking that for a while. But I've been also thinking that was the lowest it got, I now think this is the lowest it gets... Rock bottom feels like it arrived several months ago but Ashley seems to find us a new level at every soul destroying decision he makes. Every decision that he makes lends credence to the arguement that this for him is personal and it's about breaking the back of the club and the fans. Reason? Revenge for turning on him over the Keegan business. Christ knows where we will be when this sad mess ends. I suspect that all that will be left of NUFC is the name itself - as said above, he'll strip it of everything else.
