I've suggested that before on here and other boards and been called for doing so. People are beginning to change their tune a bit now, given what's happened (or not happened) in recent weeks.

It does very much look like it, sadly. How the f**k Ashley made his millions, I'll never know. The man is either as thick as two short planks or is hellbent on wrecking this club.

If he does take us off the market, expect some more lies about 'Putting the past behind us and we all now need to come together for the battle that lies ahead'. More-or-less what he said last year, no?

Lower the asking price. We all know the club is over-valued as it is and that it's real value will continue to plummet over the coming weeks and months. If he was that desperate to get shot of us, he'd have done so by now. He needs to cut his losses, take a bloody nose and let us move on. Him being in charge for another year will mean one thing - lurching from one disaster to another. Relegation.

If he re-commits to the club? Are some of you's mad? It's his ****ing about that got us into this position in the first place. If he stays, he's likely to welcome back Kinnear and possibly Wise (who is still on the payroll) What decent manager in their right mind would touch us with a barge pole at the moment?

Teasy - how do you know that the s/t and Martins' cash isn't going straight out of the club into Ashley's back bin?

Ashley hasn't spoken since he put the club up for sale again in May, IIRC? He won't come out and speak, simply because he doesn't have too. To all intents and purposes, he's given up his responsibility and the club has already banked the cash from the 25000 who have renewed their s/t's. I for one would love to know where the s/t money has gone.

Been today - but going back tomorrow morning and taking my little 9month old daughter (complete in her toon strip) Gonna take along one of my old Newcastle top's as well and hang it up with the rest. Good to see you getting your daughter involved so young. Will feel a bit daft going on my own tomorrow, but I dare say it won't last long, and I've got 3 scarves compared to 1 neck, so what else is there to do. I went on my own today after work - no big deal so get yourself along.

thought the Legends was very Good tonight, apart from that knacker Macca..( what an embarrassment he was) Yup - it was. Supermac sound like he was in tears, when he read the lead story at 6pm. As for that Macca lad - what a complete dick, especially after the lads had said the night was devoted to memories of Sir Bobby.
