  2. Stuff being thrown on the pitch now as well.
  3. West Ham 2-1 - fans back on the pitch again. Millwall players leaving the pitch according to Mark Bright.
  4. Ashington born here as well. Grew up in Stakeford and Bedlington though - right side of the watta. Get well soon, Big Man.
  5. I'd love to know where the proof is for the money from transfers going back into the club. If that were the case (and I'm no financial expert) then surely the overdraft that the club has with Barclays would become lower, or am I missing the point? Ashley has managed to bank £20million-ish from player sales this summer as well as the wage budget going down. So where is the money going? Answers on a postcard please.
  6. I'm not surprised this has happened. Points to another delaying tactic for Ashley. Deadline day will come and go, he'll then take us off the market and say that because of the potential takeover, we weren't able to buy any players. Also expect some more players to leave in the next few days. I also wager than Ashley will be trousering all of the cash that is coming into the club via transfers. The lads at .com make an excellent point in that when assets have been sold and the wage bill dropping, then why hasn't the value of the club dropped (and the overdraft too) as well? Ashley is taking the piss out of all of us - make no mistake.
  7. I don't believe we will be sold. Fully expect him to take us off the market and bring back Kinnear. As for what Llambias said - the man (and his boss) is a liar and people would do well to remember that.
  8. Great win and am over the moon with the start to the season. Got to give credit to the players who have done well, considering the rubbish that's been going on in the background. Can only hope Monday is a good news day as well.
  9. Steve Harper on Radio Newcastle reckons that we are now down to a squad of 13 players that have actually started a game for the club. Worrying.
  10. Think Palace will turn us over today - either 1-0 or 2-1.
  11. Bigger picture is here is that if all of the better assets are moved on and we are left with the dross/youth team then this season becomes a real struggle. People could begin to stay away from games and when the club is still losing money hand over foot, then the administration word comes to the fore again. Ashley won't put any more of his own cash into keeping us going, so when there's nothing left to sell..... you do the maths.
  12. Moat can't do anything, because Ashley holds all of the cards. With regards to a replacement for Taylor, it'll be some young kid on loan or the likes of Sol Campbell (on a free) No way on gods earth Ashley will pay a fee for a player and lets face it, who the hell would want to come here permanently at the moment as it is?
  13. Skirge - I'm sure they heard, but the owner and his cohorts don't give a f**k. He wants as much of his money back as he can get and if that leaves us with only the youth team to put out, that's what he'll do. What a fat c**t.
  14. Disappointing news if true. Suggests to me that the takeover may well now die on it's arse, if Taylor is prepared to leave. If he goes, I wish him well but I seriously worry for the future of this football club.

Was a brilliant turnout - has to be said.
  16. Deserved win, but by christ did we make hard work of it! Players just seemed to run out of gas in the 2nd half and once again the lack of pace and movement was there for all to see. However, a wins a win and we've made a good start. Still need some extra bodies in though. Coloccini was rubbish in the first half. Wednesday looked to play the ball over the top of him to get him turned. He always allows the striker to get goal side. And this from an £10million international defender. Bloody schoolboy stuff. Crowd very impressive tonight and the atmosphere was good. Wednesday fans were a bit quiet throughout, only singing in bursts (was sat directly below them in the Leazes)
  17. Well, have got time to queue tomorrow. We'll see when we get there.
  18. I'll be heading up in the morning for a couple of tickets. Hope the queues aren't bad.
  19. Can I be the first to say that Francis Jeffers is a jug-eared gimp. Thanks.
  20. I'd suggest we'll get close, particularly if Wednesday fetch as many up as they reckon they are.

I listened in one night last week - seems OK. Prefer the Legends though - better craic (for me) Problem is with Radio Newcastle when they've had phone-in's in the past - calls are vetted before they get to air. Is this show any different?
