Been away for a few days and I see nothing has changed really. Longer this goes on, the more likely he'll take us off the market. And so will begin the final journey for this club on it's way to hell. If Kinnear returns, it's yet another kick in the knackers for the very fans that he had a go at some months ago. Once again, backs up the feeling that Ashley holds nothing but contempt for the fans. But we knew that already.

Just read the times piece on .com. Is Ashley playing a bit of hardball here? Surely if Moat and his group are legit then they would have fallen by the wayside by now, as did the Profitable Group? Reading between the lines re Shearer - kind of backs up that Ashley didn't like what he was told by Shearer and that if DoL comes in, then everything will be done on the cheap. But what's new there since this fat oaf took over our club? Howay Barry - get it sorted!

Load of bollocks. Is that tosh or has it been confirmed?

SSN: David O'Leary 'no longer in contention' for NUFC job
Big Geordie replied to Dave's topic in Football
This. I'm gutted, not because of DoL, but the fact that Ashley's greed may have once again scuppered any chances of this club moving forwards. DoL is better than what we have at the moment. Should be Shearer, but I'm of the camp that Ashley didn't like what Shearer told him back in May, so the only way Alan will get the job is if Moat's takeover goes through. -
Oliver has no more insight on this than anyone else.

Get rid. He's an arsehole who has had too many chances at this football club.

Smith my MoM today - had a good game in the middle. We may have found a role for him, as long as he is consistent, keeps it simple and keeps up the work ethic. Carroll did really well up front and should start ahead of Ameobi, who offered very little today. Someone elsewhere said he's regressed as a footballer, and I have to agree with them on that. Coloccini is a liability - amazing to think he's been capped nearly 30 times by Argentina. And Jonas - can beat players for fun, but can't cross a ball for toffee. I wouldn't be sad to see him and his compatriot leave the club. Special word for Tim Krul who pulled off some wonderful saves when he had to come on.

I'm amazed the lad is 'only' 30. I can run faster than he can, and that's saying something. Unfortunately no other club will take him off our hands - he's here to stay for this season.
-
That's the problem, Roger. We still have players at this club that stopped caring a long time ago. What has happened to change that since then? Nout.
-
Yup - just been reading the Journal piece. I bet Ashley will take us off the market, due to his own greed. I don't know why he won't accept a re-negotiated price as if he keeps us, the value of the club will plummet this coming season, and he'll have to plough in more of his own dosh to keep us going. Greedy wanker.

Been out at work for the last 5hrs - can some give me an update on the latest speculation please? Curious about this Llambias 'unable to comment' line....
-
Agreed. I'd expect a denial at some point today from Moat, if he's not involved.
-
I'm not sure how they would know, at least any more than other media outlets. The local rags hardly have the ear of the club and it's been like that for a long time. If Moat comes out and says he's not involved, then that's it. However, if he keeps his trap shut then there may well be something in it. He'll still be bound by confidentiality if he is making a bid.
-
It's been speculated that Moat could have foreign money behind him - not been confirmed or denied as yet.
-
Not surprised that the club have denied it, even it it is through Sky. They wouldn't know the truth if it came and bit them on the arse. The amount of lies that have poured out from NUFC since Ashley took over is beyond belief. Has any club ever treat it's own fans (and customers) with so much distain?

Sebastien Bassong signs for Tottenham Hotspur, fee undisclosed
Big Geordie replied to Crumpy Gunt's topic in Football
Can't blame him for wanting to leave, but the way he has gone about it leaves a very bitter taste in the mouth. -
Does anyone know much about this Barry Moat fella, bar what's already been found above? Fingers crossed this turns out to be a good lead (for once!)
-
They don't give a toss mate. Aye - I guess. Unless of course they know that their days are numbered. We can only live in hope.
-
On reflection, I'm surprised that the club gave this show the go ahead tonight in Shearer's. They must have know the knives would be out?
-
If anything, it should highlight the plight of the club on a bigger scale following the national broadcast. Thought it was pretty good - no pandering to Ashley and Llambias. Plenty people sticking the boot in (and rightly so)

Clem being an arsehole yet again.
