  1. Agreed, Everton, Villa, Blackburn, Wigan et alia are really letting the side down this year.
  2. We don't even know for sure if we're even interested in him, if his value is in fact £8m, and if he wants to come here! Just amazing isn't it.

    Fraser Forster

If he is sold and we have a sell on clause, then I have no problem with him going to Celtic. If it is just another loan though, I'd far prefer him to go to top two tier English league side. That said, I know it's not as easy as that, and I'm not sure he'd have that many decent clubs offering a chance of a first team spot after his so-so performances north of the border this past year.
  4. Some nice quotes from Bates there So pretty much like us then. A slow hard painful screw from Ashley, but one day we'll all learn to enjoy it.
  5. Obertan, Vukic, Abeid, Samiobi, Furguson? Yeah, pretty well covered.
  6. Ridiculous that the (fully justified) general consensus is that this won't happen. Hes not happy there, wants a move, didnt play well last season, they need the money, they have a replacement. We desperately need a left back and have THIRTY FIVE MILLION POUNDS sitting there, can offer premier league football (which was enough for Cabaye to leave the champions and join us), and hes supposedly a very good player. Any normal club in this position would just do the deal, but not Ashley Do you live in a penny dreadful?
  7. Can see us getting an absolute pasting after Tiote gets sent to the stands on 26 minutes.
  8. I can't imagine many fans would give two hoots. Sounds like a pretty decent move after the latest shake up.

Hate to say this, but Xisco will be back with us next year.
  10. Ah, fingers crossed it looks like it may just be a loan. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11695_7092926,00.html Everton and Roma were in for him too.
  11. That would be fucking annoying. We should have been in for him. Love the player, but may well have been down to us not being able to have assured him of being first choice when all our bods are fit.

Pretty sure that is exactly what they did weeks ago (7th of June was when most press reported it).
  13. The fuck? Not happy if that happens.
  14. Not a chance Everton would let him go surely?
  15. Pardew have often stated definitely one, maybe two strikers in. If we manage to offload Loven as well, there is no reason we can't buy a cheap Maynard as one of two. Yup.

  17. talk about football fans bias , Given spent almost 12 years , always gave all his effort for the club before he left, he's a judas. Ben Arfa f*** his former club and coach and wen AWOL to join the club, he's hero Same Given who refused to play for us and handed in several transfer requests over the years when he didn't get his own way? That's the one. The guy who was happy to drop us in the s*** halfway through a season to spend plenty of time counting his money on a pale blue heated bench in Manchester. he never refuse to play, and also not expect to be on the bench after he join Man City, you can't deny his contribution over the years for the club, how many world class save he had made? i admit it's a bad timing to left in the middle of a season, but he's already 32 that time and got a higher offer from a bigger club which he had better chance of playing champions league football, easy choice tbh I won't forget that he was a top top player for us, but the shoddy manner of his leaving soured things for me. Easy choice maybe, but my concern is always for the club and he was willing to add to the teams disastrous season rather than show loyalty to those who have paid him handsomely for years and wait until the summer. If he had, a far greater number of supporters would have been thankful and sympathetic to his depature and likely still look upon him as one of the Newcastle greats. Anyway, sorry, sidetracked. No there is not a lot to like about man City.
