He relied a lot on his pace to get him out of trouble, which made him look good but not enough questions about how he got into trouble in the. first place. Then injuries. Then loss of pace. Not sure what he is now, not seen him in yonks.

So petty. Fully agreed as well 😂

Sterling has looked finished for some time. He's a canny lad who has taken a lot of flak for a very long time, and there is part of me which would love to see him Howe'd here and fall in love with football again. It would have to be a loan and cover half his wages, which I doubt Chelsea will want to do.

I say we put a bid in for this guy.

Cheers. Lots of work then, and if we sell Trippier even more so.

Any idea why we were so shit yesterday? Only seen MotD and followed in here, but seems we were terrible bar the 1st 5mins and actually the sending off deflected from a really poor performance. Always tricky playing newly promoted teams 1st couple of games of the season, always with their tails up and without any fear, but didn't expect 70% possession in their favour, and that was before the sending off.

easy

Already is.

34% possession at home at a newly promoted team, before a red card. What a time to be alive.

Long season ahead.

Assisted.

I see Milan van Ewijk has grabbed another assist. Always looks a threat. Down the left this time, might be a good squad player at prem level.

Aye, been negative all summer, me.

Guehi wants to move to Newcastle

Botman. Tosin. Lingard. Maddison. Ekitike.

Shocker of a window so far. We seem to allow ourselves to be messed around quite regularly. I understand trying to get the best deal but we must know we've started far too low and nowhere near, and if so, this far into the window, wtf we playing at? Go get Gonzalez and Thiaw from Italy for the same price palace want for Guehi.

Time wasters. Hopefully he leaves on a free in a couple of years time.
-
They'll be lucky to avoid legal action and losing players on frees.
-
Guess this gets sorted either way. We won't go higher so thry accept and it moves quickly, or we go elsewhere and they'll have a player who doesn't want to stay with a clock ticking on his contract with no intention of renewing.

3x Mileys, Finneren & Harrison. A lot of talent there for a few years time, if we do right by them.
-
Horrific that. Kidding themselves saying anything but. Hummel did them a solid on the home kit as well, thought it was their best in decades.

It's been a shit window, not as shit as Jan, which cost us Europe, but if nothing happens then this will cost us our key players come 2025. Luckily, there is still time, and the club simply won't blink first, not matter what. It might be to its detriment further down the line but it's got pride, and a line which if you take the piss, it won't entertain you. Parish is sailing very fucking close to that, the interview may have pushed it over and for someone who obviously wants to sell (or bids would have been rejected outright, and not for sale sign come up) he could piss the player off and end the only realistic offer on the table. He's not as clever as he thinks he is, and dick waving in the media doesn't work with us.

terrible sending off in the Rangers game.

Don't get a lip on when others say the same when we dig our heels in for Bruno, Isak and Gordon. Christ we even dug deep for backroom staff. The better the player, the harder it is to do a deal. Least we're aiming high, though generational talent comment is quite clearly laughable.
