We won't get him for free in the summer, his contract runs out yes but he'll be 23 and would go to a tribunal. With that in mind we should put an offer in now and have him on the books as our own. My only problem is that I doubt he is good enough for our main RB in the prem, Raylor certainly isn't, one will have to go and another RB brought in anyway.

Club legend cut his teeth with the B team then made the step up very successfully. Barca just do it right; they really are an admirable club from top to bottom. He also seems like a genuinely ace guy as well.

It's disgracefull that in this day and age that a top flight game should be called off for a little bit of bad weather, surely the local council would of relised and put grit out on the roads, and nearby paths for the game, if it's not common sence to do it in anyway. I must give credit to NCC making sure that both roads and paths around Newcastle were gritted for the game to go ahead yesterday. I also think it should now be a Premier League requirement to have a stadium with undersoil heating and covering to stop snow fall from postponeing games. It's not really. It's a shame, but the weather is as harsh now as it has been for a long time. If you want disgraceful see what happened to the Eurostar passengers with this weather.

Going to go with the 3 that came down to go back up. Long shot right now for Boro, but if they get it together they'll be tougher than any team in the playoffs, the team that sneaks in at the end always wins it as well, could be Boro.

As manager ACF Fiorentina Coppa Italia: 2000–01 S.S. Lazio Coppa Italia: 2003–04 F.C. Internazionale Milano Serie A: 2005–06; 2006–07; 2007–08 Coppa Italia: 2004–05; 2005–06 Someone described him as being no better than Hughes but he's actually won a shed load of trophies. 8 Trophies, 5 with an Inter team that really had no right to lose the league. He's good but I debate if he's what they think he is. Inter were almosts before he got there, for some time IIRC. Well, the first year they 'officially' won it, was the Juve Calcioppli scandal, the year after that Juve were in Serie B and AC Milan were 8 points down before a ball had been kicked, then last year they made it difficult winning the league, they had a fair few routine slip ups. I still think for all the titles at Inter he was really dependant on Zlatan, something I think Mattis may concurr with me on. Often their tactic was get it to Zlatan and get him to do something special to get us a goal or win us the game. He single handly won the game at Parma the other year to win them the league. Whether he will have that talismanic player at Manchester City is debateable, Robinho looks like his mind is elsewhere, and Adebayor is far too inconsistent. But he has bigger resources at City, so who knows. Fair enough but these things happen, doesn't detract from going on to win the league. You could say its like Chelsea having 3 managers in 1 year, or Liverpool in financial ruin, or Manu selling their best player and main goalscorer, or Arsenal relying on young kids to break through, there's always something, you've still got to put your team across the line. Citeh now have a manager that has and can do that, whether he can do that here is a different thing, but it's better than what Hughes has done and probably now will ever do and Mancini brings some continental pull with it to boot. He's a solid appointment imo and imo Mourinho is the one who's had it easy, ready made team that just needs that push in the CL but looks like he cannot do it. PS: They and us, very confusing at this time in the morning.

Odds would be huge i reckon. He's prime candidate for the next prem sacking job not picking up a cash strapped mid table CCC club in dire straights.
-
Beye last season was average like, whereas Jose just got stronger and stronger. If all four played as well as him we'd still be in the prem, simple as that. But i guess there's loads of IF's and one too many Nicky Butts.

11 pages about our attendance 14 Sunderland... Famous for Newcastle... So damn right like. I wish I could be one of those who gets behind their region, but its god honest impossible with their obsession with us. In the prem, doing well and by all accounts having a great period in their recent history especially with us where we are (the total opposite) yet cannot stop talking about us and our attendance. Attendances don't make a great club, but by god do they weed out the shite ones with their inferiority complex.

But that Coloccini and Enrique are hapless remember. The media said so. Johnson being injured and having no one of quality down the left might also have played part in why they went down the right, still though, daft tactics
-
the best?? if he does it the premiership maybe, how you can say someone is better than 2 bezza and bernard who both we're integral part's in the teams that had us in the top 3/4 in the league He's been solid since he's joined (done it in the prem, our best defender by a mile last season) despite what the papers have said, both Bezza and Ollie had flaws in their game (ollie more so(and so does Jose)) but were fine players, i just think Enrique has shown just as much quality already as a defender as both had over their entire Toon career, and he's not finished, just started.
-
Best LB we've had in over a decade, still have very fond memories of Bezza and loved Ollie at his peak but this guys quality is spot on. Wish we had a RB as good and solid as him.
-
Gary Speed? Can never take him seriously as a pundit. He's either distracting with pants too tight for pre-watershed, or i go off in a daydream of bullet headers and celebrations.
-
Was shaping up to be a really good anecdote that. Soz like, i should have made something up to make it sound better.

Met him on the Metro on the way to SJP when Shearer signed (couple of days after) and he had loads of memorabilia with him, he was later interviewed about the transfer. Sure it was the transfer, or a Shearer special of some sort, 80% sure it was the actual transfer. Listened in on his convo anyway, felt at the time a privilege to hear what he was saying, shame i cannot remember any of it. RIP

he likes to try being clever with me now and again, It's not being clever, its being in complete disbelief at some of the things you come up with. For someone who's watched so much football you really have a skewered opinion on it. It's like you forget about everything you've ever seen everytime you watch a match (bar anything KK which is engrained through you like a stick of Blackpool rock) because i say perhaps we should have given colocini more time before writing him off as shit,...you conclude i manage to forget 30 odd years of watching football. WTF. your pissed arnt you? You forgot last season and the opposition he was up against and how he performed and treat the opposition he's playing against this one at the same level, its the only way you could come up with 'a lesson in giving players time to settle.' and stand by it.

I get your point, but it wasn't the one i was making. None of that was aimed at you, i cannot for the life see how you thought it was.

That's not the point I'm making, the point is the gulf or supposed gulf in class. Argentine International defender who we paid £10m for and is on £60kpw+ has one outstanding game in 18 months against an average CCC team and some clueless specials start spouting shite that its about giving him time to settle in and we need to learn our lesson. (or have done) clueless tw@t. tbh. Yes you really really are. It must be hard to be so bloody thick all the time.

Argentine defender who we paid £10m for and is on £60kpw+ has one outstanding game in 18 months against an average CCC team and some clueless tarts start spouting s**** that its about giving him time to settle in. Fuking special some mongs on this place. I didn't say anything about settling in you fucking mong. One outstanding game? He's been pretty solid all season man, as shown by the amount of clean sheets. To me that's a gulf in class from the rest of the division. It's a different matter when you step up to the premiership though, aye. Clueless tart, fuck off. You divvy, i never said you did. Proven point though about the posters on here though.
