So we've just sold Milner for £12 million, and of all the players on God's green Earth the best you can come up with is Lennon?! That's frightening! Wouldn't we essentially be back to square one? A player who flatters to deceive but never actually produces an end product? Just in this case Lennon is a bit quicker. No thanks. Knowing Tottenham they would demand £12 million and all! There are much better payers out there who are rumoured to be available this summer and would cost less. Prime example is Seb Larsson. We could even go abroad and bring in someone like Jaroslav Plasil or even Joaquin. You did see him in the friendly against us right? He might have been off form the past season or so but there is no doubting his quality. A change of scenery might be all it takes, and we could likely get him for a good price at the moment. If your trying to compare Lennon to Joaquin please don't. He's given up on football, no thanks.

The same people slating the fans for having a go (telling us to stay 'uinted' etc) when we were getting raped on the pitch last season. Bunch of stupid, fickle up themselves cunts really.

Where does it say that? David Craig has spoken to him and he's reporting it on SSN's now.

KK putting on a brave face? KK saying it was his decision to sell. Money too good to turn down.

Got to bring in Lennon now. I know his end product is questionable, but his place is under threat if not completely gone, but he does have bags of pace, and we could possibly work on the rest of his problems over the coming season. I wonder if the Milner money could stretch for him and Larsson?

No offence but if you cannot see the downside of how late in the window it is, and how small our sqaad already is, then you are the mong. However, the upsides do outweigh the downsides, but that doesn't mean there isn't any. I hardly think that's a downside when we have Geremi and Jonas to back him up (presuming Jonas is going to start on the left). You don't? Then yuo are clinically insane imo!! Geremi is a waste of a starting place, Duff is below average, Jonas is great but if he gets injured were fooked. The squad needed boosting not stripping, well technically incorrect, it need both, but with the onus on boosting while getting rid of the crap. Milner wasn't the crap, he was in the middle therefore the fee of £12m if correct is excellent and really, we couldn't do anything else but sell him for that.

I'm still here. Not going anywhere. He said sad, that should have been a big clue he didn't mean you! :

I think people are just believing it as they actually got something right this morning (the accepted bid, the medical etc). We'll just have to wait and see on the fee, but anything over £8m for us is an absolutely great deal. Hypocritical tbh. The papers have picked up on us not making real moves for any players, and guess what, we've really brought fuk all in, can we now believe that although the club can keep a deal secret, the nothing in the press does equal nothing through the doors? Bit different when it's Villa who have announced this move (we haven't as yet), and probably leaked news of the medical. Take your point though. Aye, but there's always another club, just because we can keep a lid, doesn't mean others can, and why stories make it to the press. Anyway, lets hope they are right, £12m is a no brainer, i like the lad as a footballer, felt his pace hindered him as a winger, but has a massive career in the middle if a manager is ever clever enough to use him there. Shame were letting a young English talent go, we need to spend it correctly, or this window has been a big a disaster as any of the previous even with some quality coming in.

Rumoured to be 25% so we get 9m. We want shot for signing up for 25%.
-
Why do people think were getting £12m? All i've heard is undisclosed, or are we now believing paper talk when its in our favour?
-
I'd be delighted with is if Smith & Ameobi had left, as it stands we've still got big hangers-on that we cannot shift, at least Cacapa, Butt & Viduka's contract run out in a year.
-
Undisclosed. Probably receive £9m after we pay off Leeds.
-
£12m?
-
Fuking hell £10m. said when he moved to Sheff Utd we should have got him, excellent cover for Owen, he'd be knocking em in in the prem for us, growing in stature every week imo. Gutted, blatant talent just like Young or Ashton.

PS: Did Sharp get a hattrick the other day?

Fair play to Leicester tbh. I wish more lower league clubs held onto their players. What would Leicester do with £5m anyway? You could get a fair few very good players for league one with that money, not to mention the fact his price can only drop as no one is going to pay more than 5m for a player playing in league one. Or on the other hand, Leicester are actually aiming for promotion. What's to say he won't be playing in the Championship next season? They don't really need the money anymore - they need the players to get them promoted. And with 5m you couldn't help to achieve that? It's not actually that easy to spend £5m in league one and come away with players who would improve the team. I know that sounds like a strange thing to say, but I've seen it first hand with a number of teams. Were you spending it like? I'd have kept Sharp and Keogh tbf You could have bought them two for £5m. Mattock isn't worth £5m to Leicester really. A £1-2m left back would be enough for what they need.

Amazing stuff, and why i watch my team in the pub. Nothing beats being there, but every year it gets closer to it. Alcohol, atmosphere, viewing angle, free, swearing, horseplay, toilet and most importantly friendly faces and my mates. Watching football in a pub is where its at.

Villa are going to shit a brick if this goes to the wire again, last day, and we start going we want an extra mill or two since we cannot get a replacement or the deals off, just like last time. Over a barrel? I hope so.

'Apparently'? Paper talk on SSN's.

Apparently Leicester have rejected a £5m bid from Us and a host of other clubs for Joe Mattock. Looked decent when i saw him (the once) heard a lot of people raving about him, but £5m for a club in League one, and rejected, stupid cunts....if true.
