Its an absolute joke that here we are, 3rd game of the season, and we have not one recognised striker on our books able to start a game. It is quite funny like.

  5. What's the date of your latest update mate?

That's the chance you take with any player, maybe we should not play anyone and forfeit the match? If he's fit i'd play him, couldn't care less about the CC, league position is what we need to focus on this season. (i'd even think of starting Smith if fit) PS: I have a tiny bit of a bad feeling as well.

--------------Harper------------ (keep him motivated) Beye--Taylor--Colo--Enrique (would like to get another 90mins between our new CB partnership under their belts, Enrique to get a run out to prove himself, Beye as there's no one else about for me) Geremi--Guthrie--Butt--Zoggy (would like to see Zoggy in his normal position, give Jonas a rest, get a game under Geremi's belt) ------------Milner----------------- (needs a run in the centre) ------------Ameobi--------------- (we don't have many options, would be nice to get him out so clubs can take a look at him, and to possibly dispell any problems with injuries)

  10. Malouda would probably be better than any of our left wingers, but his age, is temperement, his price and wage demands make this move a silly one considering we have enough decent left wingers at the club. If we could get a right hand version of him we'd be buzzing, but sadly this move is pointless unless we can offload Duff, play Jonas souly as a RW and Zoggy is seen as a LB, a setup i'm not sure is worth thinking about to accomodate a player only slightly better that the best we've got in that position.
  11. Warnock deal is not going to happen, Ince is adament he's not selling anyone else, and i believe him, that's it for outs at BB. The belgium lad from AZ is probably more likely now. Two £6m left backs at the club at one time is crazy considering what we've went in with in previous seasons (baba-heartless-yaro)

    Milner pay rise? Sell him.
  13. Whs, i thought that opera bloke was cringeworthy today Some bloke asked me why I wasn't joining in with the singing when he was on the pitch with his walking in a KK wonderland and Toon Toon thing and I said "I'm here for the football, not the cheerleading" Very cringeworthy but harmless I suppose, kids around us seemed to love it and got involved. Yes you were, but no harm done eh?
  14. Yet we bang on about getting and having players good enough for the top four. Jesus man, see it as a good thing not an insult. More of that please, and more of that opinion and we'll get more players wanting to join us.
  15. What they saying? Dunno, i got distracted on tinternet. Thommohawknose praising Guthrie.
  16. Were on SSN's preview now.
  17. Have you ever took a whiff of one? I reckon its already in place.
  18. Would have to be. Could see Ashley taking a small financial hit on sponsorship just to get the all time fav back on the shirt if and when Northern Rock fook off.
  19. Personally i'd take Craig Gordon, and field 11 Englishmen.
  20. That's what worries me, fuk that. Kyle Lafferty and George McCartney would be a welcome addition to our current national side!
  21. That's what worries me, fuk that.
  22. As long as we don't restrict ourselves to playing crap for the sake of keeping shitter nations happy, then this would be a great move.
  23. PM Backs British Football For 2012 Gordon Brown has told Sky News he wants a British football team to compete at the 2012 London Olympics. Britain did not enter a team at the Beijing Games due to a lack of support from the four constituent countries' football associations. But the Prime Minister is keen to see Team GB field a unified team on home soil in four years' time. He told Sky News: "I hope there will be a team by 2012. It will be team UK. I hope we can get an agreement on that. "Britain is the home of football, which we gave to the world, and people will be surprised if there is an Olympic tournament in football and we are not part of it." Mr Brown said he had met with head of FIFA Sepp Blatter, Olympic organisers and FA organisers in Britain in order to broker an agreement. The notion of a British football team has been regularly raised but always suffered from a lack of support within the domestic game. Criticism for the idea centres on the structure of the team. Some fear the team would rely too heavily on English players, while others resent the introduction of a fixed quota of players from England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. A unified British team could match up with Olympic champions Argentina in 2012. The South Americans claimed the football gold medal today in Beijing, beating Nigeria 1-0 in the final.
