Didn't this happen about a year ago?
-
Would you swap him for Owen? (since Liverpool want £9m and the supposed release fee is £9m)
-
Baines plus another LB, 2 RB's, Ben Haim & another CB, possibly Sol Campbell, £1m max though for him.
-
The free is apparently £5m. A joke considering his talent, his injury record and the fact his contract runs out in 12 months time. I'd take him for £2-3m max. BTW, i cant see him wanting to play at RB in our team.

Am having a head in hands moment tbh. Is he or was the David Brent of Football. Imaging GR doing that dance? With Terry Mac as Gareth.

Living on past memories, faded with Pires only Pires had the good grace to reach 30 before taking a huge nose dive. If SA thinks he can do a job and he costs nothing then really not much harm in trying, although i would still be against it as we haven't got Europe and don't need a massive squad next season, if he were a defender then i'd be more excited but as it stand if were going to buy an attacking mid then i prefer it to be for the future, Giles Barnes mould and spend some of the extra cash he didn't expect like that as, as it stands, if no one upfront leaves were pterry much set to go if we bring in 6 new defenders.

Good summery tbf! The whole thing caught me off guard.
-
What the fuck are City doing? Being dicks, surely because of his release clause there is fuk all they can do to stop the transfer.
-
Also mentioned Martins & Ameobi in his forward plans as well.

i think i remember saying he is a fat lazy bastard very lazy and letting boro down to the point i thought they might go down- that was at xmas and what a difference a month makes all of a sudden in the second half of the season he was pure class and really thats when I saw him as a true bargin signing especially on a free. I've admitted for the last two weeks i've done a total u-turn on Viduka with SA coming in, and especially getting him on a free. I was also right though that selling Milner for him was a bad idea, i'm just glad we got the best of both worlds for a change.

Newcastle would be a better without without Dyer on the books. he does have pace, he's even started to score goals and i firmly believe his bad boy days are behind him, but the money he is on, his past injury problems and the amount of return we get doesn't add up, and were not getting a good enough deal to keep him on the books.

Parker being professional until the bitter end. You could see he wanted to say something about the move, back at us, but he kept his head and brushed it all off. I honestly thought he was slightly sad at leaving, maybe he was nudged in the end, i dont think he was pushed though, i think he may have wanted the move before all the takeover stuff happened.
-
speaking of woodgate, do you think he's having second thoughts--like wishing he'd returned to us? He'll be flurrying through his contract to find a loop hole as we speak.

Comments from Gareth Southgate tbh.. mackems.gif

Leicester? Admittedly i had a look, i thought it was Norwich.
-
2 years with a 3rd option, good news.
-
He's said all the right things, and seems to be getting some decent players in, i'm happy so far, although i think its far too early to start suking his cock.
-
Its also why i've done a 180 on Viduka. Viduka under GR would of been a disaster, under SA its potentially 20 goals a season.

Superb times to be a Newcastle fan.

Fair enough James, A & B are valid, although a new thread would always out do an old one since everyone is looking in it so C for me isn't. I still felt a fair few points were still open for discussion, but like you say could be transfered, i just dont think anyone will be bothered to do so now.
