  1. indeed, if we get Faye and Belletti there's no way that irish c*** should get anywhere near the squad Two good options at RB, both very different in style, i like it.

  3. to be honest I've never been exactly blown away with Nobby's workrate Its been decent, nothing magical. Like i've said many times, too much sentiment gets in the way of NUFC funs judgment of Nobby. Same with Pav, Pav was an crap keeper that the fans sung a few songs about so he was made a terrace hero, truth is, he was average at his very best. Nobby hasn't been anything near a good player since coming back from Villa, he's had one or two good games in mid, and did a good job in def considering, but really, nothing a £2m player couldn't eclipse.
  4. We've lost bigger and better and got on with it. Nobby isn't needed from the formations SA is going for, and his lack of pace make him more ineffective every month that roles on. Good player, but aging, and its no great loss especially if he is replaced well. I trust SA to find better than him.
  5. Who Will Be Toon's 1,000th Player? http://www.nufc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10278~1092578,00.html By Craig Hope NEWCASTLE United's next debutant will become the 1,000th player to pull on the famous black and white stripes for the club. The Magpies' first-ever competitive fixture under the name of Newcastle United was an FA Cup tie against Middlesbrough on 21 January, 1893, with 999 players representing the Geordies since that day. The newly formed 'United' lost 3-2 in that game, even after the Teesiders had an offer of £20 to switch the tie to their home ground refused by Newcastle. And the 1,000th honour could fall to one of the Toon's new signings should Claudio Cacapa or Jose Enrique figure against Aston Villa on Saturday.
  6. Good player from what i've heard and seen, cheap price, good rotating player who can play in a few positions, i just hope he's being bought as a RB to edge Carr out of the squad. Although fitter and more up for it, he's still shite.
  7. Take out Stevie G and Carragher and a few good signings on our part we'd certainly be not too far behind imo. That and keep ours fit, then no, not far off at all. But both those players are NT or even Worldclass, we don't have that in mid or defence.
  8. "It's a ragging shambles In Ben Haim and Faye we should've had two top, top drawer defensive players for the next few years. Instead we've got O'Brien and £800k. There is nowhere else to point the finger than at Gartside. Every one of us here could've told him a long time ago these boys were class acts, why the fúck didn't they sign them up? Penny pinching that's why. And it's bitten us on the arsé now. Jussi is next. Another contract balls up. Then Diouf, who bizarrely was left out and is now unhappy. And I cannot see Anelka sticking around once they've all gone. We're on shít street at the moment. I have no faith in this ludicrous idea that we can be the next Ajax, playing total football either. Everything that got us where we are is being ripped up, for no good reason." mackems.gif mackems.gif mackems.gif mackems.gif Easily the most funniest and accurate thing a Bolton fan has said in a long fuking time.
  9. I had a dream last night it was 0-0, but I also had a dream last night i took my dead cat for an x-ray and she was in perfect health.
  10. I thought Hunty signed a new deal this year? Anyway, both need 1st team football, send em on loan.
  11. Full 90min games, its touch and go tbf!
  12. Fantastic for Man Utd. If they could get him on the pitch, which would take a miracle. He'll play a lot for us this season I reckon and £10m is absolute peanuts. Mido's just nearly cost Boro £7m. Boro are a joke, desperation to the max with that purchase. As for Owen, i'd be pleased to see him play 20 full games this season, i doubt he will. I'd rather take the money and sign someone of lesser quality who plays 80% of his games, rather than 8%.
  13. Fantastic for Man Utd. If they could get him on the pitch, which would take a miracle.
  14. Aye, fantastic to sell our best striker for 7mill less than we paid You should be a manager tbh. Like he's worth £17m right now? He can barely play a game without getting injured, that coupled with his wages, we'd be lucky to get rid of him for £10m and let him be someone else's problem. Oh lets not forget next season he'll be in the last year of his contract, Liverpool sold him for £8m then and thats when he was a world class player instead of a permenant crock. I could see why you think i should be manager.
  15. Who's been calling him the young Duncan Ferguson like?
  16. This would just be typical of Citeh if something severe comes of this and he's forced back home and thrown in jail. Just as things were looking bright for them. It seriously would be another chapter in the suffering of a Citeh fan.
  17. It would be fantastic if Fergie came in with a £10m bid for Owen.
  18. If were doing cheap i'd be tempted to have a look at Glen Johnson. Not without his flaws, but i think SA could make a player out of him, Redknapp got him to a decent standard again, its there, its just been lost a bit.
  19. People bought those? I've got 5.
  20. I suggested last time the 2 extra players could have stipulations that help the development of youth. So the two new spaces on the bench have to be academy players and under 21.
  21. Fuking hell this is weird, i was thinking of posting this about 30mins ago, but remember i post this same question up every start of the season so didn't bother. Freaky.
