Tbf he needs to deliver a decent body blow to the PL (Masters knew about super league or convos to PL big 6 about blocking the deal) or we never hear of it and the takeover went through. That’s his baseline. If he doesn’t achieve it then his reputation is in tatters and no one will believe a word he says. He put himself in that position so only himself to blame.

Got a good feeling about this. No idea why, just that missing positively since Sept feels like it's back. I do think they've got someone big on them and it's being used as leverage. We could see some positive resolution coming our way in early May. I was 38 when this takeover started, it's quite possible I'll be 40 by the time it's done.

This sounds promising, really hope he’s on the level. It does sound like he’s got something against the PL and it’s actually good news that it’s on hold. It really does seem this account is an extension of the legal team on our side. Basically doing the dirty work they can’t seem to get involved with. If so then it probably is something big and is being used as leverage against the PL. if it comes out though you can probably kiss goodbye for any cooperation from the PL and for them to double down on the takeover.

That's what we thought 14 years ago. Just never know how its going to pan out or what their true intentions are. Personally I do think they'll buy the league next season, whether that makes them even more hated and 'everyone's cup final' and they struggle but in different ways, who knows. Probably more wishful thinking. Only a matter of time they get back to where they belong. Mid table in the Chamionship.

Regardless what happens in their next 2 games they make the playoffs. However they don't have the stomach, confidence or fight for the next 2, possibly 3 and look likely to fall short. Lot of talk the players make themselves unemployed if they go up this season, but have a much better chance of extensions if the club is in L1. Might be something in that, especially the relatively low wages L1 footballers get.

Looking at their fixtures there isn’t 1 game left where they are favourites, imo. We have at least sheff Utd. It’s a 100% a society problem, with footballers being high profile targets usually by kids/teens who are trolling without any fear of consequences. There’s a lot of it atm probably because they are bored. Until your identity is recorded by SM platforms then it will continue, it’s up to the platforms to make them less anon and account more accountable for their posts. Even education isn’t going to resolve it unless this is done. The kids doing it IRL wouldn’t be like this, wouldn’t hold these views but turn in to something else when they can say something without any implications coming their way. Take that mask of secrecy from them and the government imposing greater consequences for racial abuse in the online world and then it drops and where an education drive might be successful. Guess I’m saying you need both for this to work.
