  1. Top 8 is incredible for the seasons setbacks. Had probably 3 seasons worth of shite rolled into one. Let's hope that means the next 2 are kinder. Still gutted about he no show against palace. If we'd have won that I firmly believe we'd have finished 5th. Anyway, happy enough. Hope the star players reflect on the tough season and believe in the future.

I do wonder if they'll sell everything that they can, and refill with a few more punts. £12m for Patterson £15m for Clarke £12m for Ballard £12m for Neill £12m for Bellingham £8m Rigg £5m Hume Weirdly, they've got quite a sellable squad. Been unlucky on Cirkin's fitness or there would be another £6m. Biggest issue apart from their HG, most of them have huge sell on clauses. This means reinvestment needs to be smart, they'll also be looking at their own sell on clauses in return, but I think given the ages and experiences so far, you're not looking at much there bar Rigg & Bellingham, the rest are peaking in terms of value. They hate them both, but that model looks like it's working, they just need to learn to appreciate what experience brings as the bedt theyve got atm is O'Nien, who has done fuck all in the game and is limited to championship plodder as a career highlight. Get the right manager in, couple of experienced signings, and they've got quite a bit going for them, but I have the feeling they will sell heavily this summer, and replace with cheaper versions with less expensive and lower ceilings.

That's fucking pathetic. What an embarrassment of a club. Best fans, my arse.

Patterson to Liverpool for £12m according to them. Think that's a fantastic deal for Patterson & Sunderland. Anything over £8m is good business.

    Lewis Hall

This is what happens when you get games. Understand he had defensive work to do, both him and Eddie have said as much, but also feel we've held him back too long. Next season, he's a proper option.
  6. If we see him again after this season, ffs.

Patterson is decent with some limited potential. He's not going to make Pickford levels and at best an average PL keeper. There was a point where he good have been more, but age and exposure has shown he'll not get there now.

    Sean Longstaff

He's been poor in '24, I'd say 5/10 average, and I'm probably one of his biggest fans on here. The injury explains half of it, but think he's climbed inside his own head and beat himself up as well. He's that type of person. A good rest, some alternatives on the pitch and hopefully he's a good squad player for the next couple of seasons. He's not a 1st teamer, not with Joelinton, Bruno & Tonali, but he's better than what we've seen lately. Him, Miley & Anderson should be the backup to our 3 main mids, and there's Willock if he ever finds fitness.
  9. Never had a problem with him at CB, quite happy for him to cover Botman till he's back, but if we subject him to LB for more than a couple of games next season we've let him down. Botman has some fight to get his place back.

Ended on 56pts the day we hit 56pts as well, only we did it in the Prem and in 11 less games with 2 injury crisis's like no one has seen.

6pts off relegation. Wow. Good job for those fluke Dodds wins 2dt time round or they'd be fooked.

Good job they don't have to face the mighty Burton.

Spending £5m on 5g instead of a striker seems barmy iyam.
  14. It's a house of cards, it's just about ready to fall and we've played a blinder behind the scenes, just need to keep smiling for a few more months. None of what we're seeing now happens without NUFC picking at scabs, whispering in ears, and planting seeds. It's been a game from the start, but lets give the PL credit. Had they not riled them up with the delay and any obstacle they could find, then we'd never have the sheer determine to blow it apart. It's really all down to Masters protecting the big 6 at all costs which he thought was his biggest card to play, but ends up being his biggest weakness and we've exploited to the max. These cunts have been playing geopolitics for decades, the PL and 6th choice Masters had no hope. Fucking love it, tbh.
  15. IF true, there we will be having a few ways to 'pay' it. Ashworth would be an easy win, without having to negate on any players or create any deals.
  16. Sure I've seen it in an article, I rarely ever go on Twatter unless it was from a link on here.
  17. Apparently we need £6m before 30th June to avoid ffp issues, a bit like forest on a smaller scale. I reckon that'll be the agreed amount mid June.
  18. Manure willing to cover his leg costs shows how badly they are trying to force this without a reasonable club to club resolution as many would expect and we have done so with Brighton. Neither would have a leg to stand on but can't see us entertaining it anyway. Fuck them both.

    St James' Park

You know every time we played there they'd have to have police sectioning them away from the ground as they beeeeew the fans coming to the stadium. Rather go beeeeew the mags than support our lot, but we're also the best fans in the werld.

    St James' Park

If we offered them decent money to use their stadium as a big toilet they'd happily take it and provide the paper. Both sets of fans though wouldn't be happy. Some of ours may take joy in 'taking over' and filling their ground for a change, but I'd rather we looked at buying Gateshead stadium, revamping it as a football ground only, and have our u21 and lasses play there alongside Gateshead giving them a home and a chance to playing in the higher leagues.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

When's this clause valid to? Is it 30th June? If so, no one had the money in Jan, so won't have it before then. I think with that and his new house he's staying put.
