It's not as if Kinnear was a class manager with a decent record and we're just turning on him because of recent poor form. FFS. He was never good enough. Appointing hiim was a mistake from the start. Let's just get around to rectifying that before we're dead and buried. It was either him or Hughton. Take your pick. No-one else wanted the job. Getting on my nerves how everyone states this with utter certainty. If you were an unemployed manager who'd just left a Championsihp club, would you not jump at the chance to manage anywhere in the Premiership? No matter how shit? Well there are a few of those out there right now. And every last one is leagues better than Joe Fucking Kinnear. Do you blame the players at all or is it totally, 100% on Kinnear? Remember the 1-1 draw against Man Utd, the 4-1 win over Spurs etc. This lot is much better than what they are giving, but it is the responsibility of the manager to get the best out of this lot.

You get a lower level manager with a good record and lots of self confidence. Take a risk, if we go down, they'll have a better chance of coming up than Kinnear, and if we stay up, even better. If Kinnear stays, we'll be in this position in the Championship next season.
-
Kinnear will bring him back quickly and use his outdated training methods to crock him for the rest of the season.
-
Gone from 8 to 9. Injuries worse, no goals in the team, no quality, and the shittest manager since I've been an NUFC fan.
-
Look at it this way: If we change managers now there is a chance he can turn it around, just like KK got better performances out of this bunch of gifted but ultimately spineless players. If we go down, the manager can't really be blamed, and might be good enough to bring us back up. If Kinnear stays, we are going down and not coming back again.

I'd give Ketsbaia or Martinez the stint to the end of the season: "Here's your chance to show what you can do in the PL" They'd bite whoever's hand off.

The Newcastle United Transfer Thread: D-Day [Spoiler: Not Much Happens]

With Owen's injury, I'd try to get the following deal with Manchester City: Given and Owen for Johnson, Benjani and £5m -
Blatantly bad fitness training. Management must be made culpable.

If only it was on the other end of the pitch...

Jayson, I am reminding you that talking about streams is banned. Thanks.

CM. He's supposed to be the next KaKa'. No pressure.

I think LuaLua would be a better bet on the wing ahead of grandad. More assists than any other player since he's been here.
-
To be fair, if Jonas is injured, that is arguably the best Newcastle team currently available for selection.
-
Nice to see Inman get some experience of being with the first team.

Added an important option to the poll.

Leeds City Centre was packed with people that night, students celebrating the end of exams. Hard to imagine something like this happenning in a club without there being witnesses one way or the other.

End of thread, I've found out all I wanted to know.

We are all over the shop defensively, but it isn't about the individual defenders, it's about the team as a whole (Nicky Butt)

Well a couple people were making a claim for Forster elsewhere, so I thought I'd check. I'm also a bit sceptical that people have seen enough, and would like to hear the views of those who go to reserves.

It'd be harsh on Harper, but part of me does hope slightly that Harper might tweak something every now and then and lose his place to an immense Krul within a couple of years.
-
So. Looks like Harper's contract has been rushed through to soften the Given blow. Assuming Given is leaving, what's next?
