  1. Gordon this season was reminiscent of Sissoko and Wijnaldum during the relegation season. I also don’t think we’d have won the League Cup had he been available for selection. I also felt for a while that when he is in one of his huffs it brings the team down with him. For that reason I wanted him gone last summer. He is a really good player, was a success here, we made a profit and wish him well. But I am glad he has gone.
  2. He suffered a knee injury before he joined which meant Man City no longer wanted him. At the time he signed, Man City were getting a lot of heat after an injured youngster they released killed himself after City basically fucked up his chances of finding a football career elsewhere. so this transfer has to be looked at with through that lens
  3. Good riddance his misdemeanours as a player get too conveniently overlooked.
  4. are they going to slap themselves or each other?
  5. Imagine the lift it will give the players and staff that despite a challenging season for various reasons, we all still love them for what they have delivered up to now.
  6. he doesn’t have to switch off completely, hopefully Ross Wilson and Hopkinson will provide leadership in delivering the signings and sales that the club collectively wants. this will allow time for reflection, rest and a refreshed plan. there are still questions Howe needs to answer on the pitch, but he should definitely be given the chance to stay and answer those questions.

    Nick Pope

I don’t feel he “has to go” in fact very disrespectful given all that he has done for the club. he does however need to stay at the club as an excellent goalkeeping option and compete for his place alongside another excellent goalkeeping option. that is not Ramsdale who is as we’ve found out worse than Dubravka.
  8. Say say say what you want I thought Parker did ok at Burnley given resources
  9. Lee Ryder’s missus has let him back in the house
  10. John Stones would be an interesting one.

it truly is. By selling Wilson and Willock when they had just been integral to our 4th place in 2023 and then securing a striker probably would have saved us from selling Anderson and then this summer we’d had been less desperate about the new striker and held a much stronger bargaining position

I’ve been saying it consistently for years so can’t use hindsight on me for that one.

I don’t think he was responsible for the Wolves debacle where they sold all the good players

I will still say the biggest mistake Howe made was not selling Wilson two years earlier. Another striker would have been brought in and we would not have had such a weak hand in transfer negotiations.

It’s West Ham vs Spurs, Pereira was a good appointment for Forest - he would have kept up whichever club goes down
  16. At least Eddie understood the question for once, it’s progress.
  17. At least he had a better managerial career than his father
  18. It seems to me that she lived her life like a candle in the wind.
  19. Everyone is still trying I think we have just gotten a bit lost amongst all the power struggles over the last 18 months that has led to people pulling in different directions I think this is one of the few occasions in my lifetime where we can’t really predict what is going to happen next which is kind of scary.
  20. Big Pif strategy report tomorrow. Golf seems to be the media’s focus but we will need to look at how we feature in their report
  21. Ultimately happy if Howe is manager next season - it would need to be someone next level to replace him and I see Poch as one of the few attainable albeit have to wait until the World Cup is done. Iraola suggestions are the ultimate disrespect to Howe - anyone who suggests him is not a true fan of our club.
  22. Great player, great personality, great servant to the club, even won us a trophy. I hope the remainder of his career and whatever comes after is happy and fulfilling.
