Nah I think it is an awesome gesture giving it to someone who has performed at the highest level for years without the off-field publicity. Giggs is a true hero of the modern game and deserves the accolade more than any other player in the league.

Martins is very limited as to where he can actually score or make an impact from. The ball has to land at his feet in an area on the left hand side of the pitch between about 35 yards and 10 yards out and not much wider than the penalty area. Anywhere else and hes useless 99% of the time, and it is a big ask to get the ball to Martins in the only area he can semi-effectively operate.

Nah, he basically has one month period over a season where everything he touches turns to gold. Rest of the season he is very average, relies completely on pot luck, doesn't play to his strengths, and doesn't score enough goals. August was his month this season.

And he's the only striker we have with any actual pace. Its a complete myth, he doesn't use it when he should be.
