    Keegan on transfers

don't want to start another fight here but if you'd have metioned spiderman & guthrie as 2 of only 3 "first team quality" players we'd be signing this summer (and us getting someone the quality of coloccini looks highly doubtful too) i would have laughed my arse off as would many others sorry dave, i really am, but it's fuckin sad that we've come to this and if you think for one second they're the calibre of player KK would have been expecting to go for you're only kidding yourself (bit aggressive there almost, not intended to be) I put Guthrie there as someone who is young/a squad player but already has enough experience to be pushing for a first team place. I'm not going to argue on Gutierrez again; unless you can tell me he's shit I'll prefer to hope he's as good as his value and international caps suggest. Not to mention the calibre of the player Keegan says he's got. Don't forget that Keegan reckons that Dani Guiza's golden boot in La Liga was mostly down to Jonas.

    Keegan on transfers

He is said as such before, that not only did he want three or four players for the first team, he hoped to get a few younger and cheaper players to flesh his team out. I'd assume Bassong was the first of these.
  6. Bound to change it a few more times, but my current team is: Hart Jaaskelainen Woodgate Hutton Clichy G Johnson Beye Modric Petrov Fabregas Dempsey Guthrie Owen Torres Ashton
  7. Good morning, I am getting a lot of positive vibes today.
  8. This is unbelievable. I submit my details to purchase my new subscription, nothing seems apparently wrong. Go to check my account details, and am greeted with the info that I have bought a subscription until 31st July 2008 that has expired, and that £39.99 will be removed from my account for a year subscription. I've sent an email off to Premium TV, and am waiting response. Just went to check my details again, and my bank has again rejected the automatic renewal, although it accepted the £17.99 service. So in short, I have paid £17.99 for nothing.
  9. It has just occured to me, I lost my debit card and naturally had it cancelled and replaced, but didn't update the details. That is probably it.
  10. Yeah Owen. Martins nowhere near, he's too inconsistent.
  11. Weird. Perhaps it was because I forgot to update my address. I'll look into it. Cheers.
  12. What was the payment method guys?
  13. Just a thought, wasn't the Deportivo chairman pissed with Newcastle sometime after the Luque deal because he thought he was owed money?
  14. I suppose taking over an entire football club, clearing its debt, implementing a rather complete overhaul, working out how the summer transfer window works and getting to know the ropes should take a back seat to making sure that the price model for streaming radio- that was introduced by the previous regime remains constant in their list of priorities. Given that the Official Website is outsourced to PremiumTV, it wouldn't have been that easy to alter the pricing. Save me £40 over the past towo seasons so I can't really complain. This is more of a public information email than anything else.
  15. PS, it is actually very bad business. The deal I signed up for was £11.99 first year, £35.00 thereafter. They forgot to increase the fee last season despite being sent emails telling me otherwise, and when they have another opportunuty to bump it upto £35, they cancel the whole bloody thing, allowing me to get in on a £17.99 introductory offer.
  16. My subscription was actually due for renewal today, so no doubt it will happen to you when the time comes. You wanted a shrewd businessman as a chairman, dont go fucking whinging about it now! It will only cost me £6 more, I'm more annoyed at the inconvenience and lack of any forewarning correspondence. Plus the people who run the site get the larger cut, and yet the quality of their website has deteriorated. I will no doubt purchase it again for the online radio.
  17. Had a bit of a look around, and it would appear from looking at my account details that I had managed to get myself on a deal that cost just £11.99 a year. My bank should definitely clear this amount, so the only reason this payment could have failed, especially judging from GG's response, is because Newcastle United want it to.
  18. Has anyone else had their subscription cancelled? I thought it just got renewed automatically each season, or has that now changed?
  19. Have we not officially signed the motherfucker like? .cock say that a few formalities haven't quite been completed. Probably his international clearance, the French can be quite slow at this. Why name him in the Mallorca squad then? If his clearance isn't through, he can't play any part in the games can he? It is a non-competitive fixture, so we can play whoever we like as long as the registration holder gives permission, and I'd describe this deal between NUFC and Metz as very amiable.

    Coloccini Poll

a few weeks? mate it's August tomorrow Better to wait a few weeks to get the right player and save a few million than getting a worser player or spending money unnecessarily. There is almost an attitude that Ashley's own money is the clubs money. Fact is that Ashley doesn't really have cash in his pockets and under his mattresses to throw around at a whim. The majority of his £1.4bn is tied up in his own businesses. Shinawatra and Gaydamak probably have more money available to invest in their clubs right now.

    Coloccini Poll

I'm not voting either way, I think we should just hang in there for a few weeks, and watch the situation unfold.
