  1. I'm listening to talk sport while at work.... about 10 minutes ago the presenter nearly wet himself while he excitedly announced the breaking news RE: Marseille doing De Schlong.
  2. moonpig.com for a card... just-eat.co.uk for a kebab....
  3. I guess many season tickets holders didnt attend the match, and City same as Newcastle (and many more) announce how many tickets they have sold, not how many people that were at the match. surely they have to for tax reasons?
  4. Ginger pubes. Makes me sick.
  5. Glad NUFC have complained in writing.
  6. I see us winning 5-0. Ranger on the right please. R.Taylor at right back. Wigan are fucking shit. And provided we dont get a fucking shit ref, we'll be 'reet.
  7. so how would i invest in this equipment? can anyone recommend the best place to purchase what i need to get these foreign channels?
  8. I'll agree if Woy goes and they replace him with, say, Ron Atkinson or Dave Beasant. Also Gerrard being taken out by deJong would probably need to happen, he'll hit some form eventually. Stu if you're listening I got my cap in my hand dude, couldn't have been more wrong about the way Liverpools fortunes were headed! ron atkinson with joe kinnear as number 2 would be amazing.
  9. Think i'll make Ben Arfa a get well soon card... and on the front draw Tiote ripping off Dejongs arm and head at SJP.
  10. it's alreet man, he's Hatem Ben Arfa - a broken legs not goin to take long to heal.
  11. ok they're fucking shit, for arguments sake.
  12. i'd say all PL refs are more corrupt than italian football. its sick
  13. they're all a lot worse than we saw last year on the CCC.
  14. Thanks for some very interesting posts every one! Love reading peoples views on stuff like this. My dad used to go to all the games in the 60s, 70s and 80s, stood under the scoreboard apparently. My mam used to travel with Leicester City in the 70s and 80s, wherever they played. My mam started going to SJP with my dad in the late 80s, but by this time they had us 3, so both stopped going, and stayed away until 2 or 3 year ago. Now they're old, kids grown up, mortgage paid etc you cant keep them away from St James Park, or the away games. Maybe one day, i'll be back! Hope its not 20 years time like!!
  15. brummie you have it spot on. wish id been to the football in the 80s. european aways / mackems away on the train are always class though. ive spent my thousands upon thousands on football and ive had that 'fuck it, its not worth it' moment.
  16. no, i love nufc as much as i did.... just in a different kind of way.... im still gutted when we lose, bouncin when we win... i just dont do the social aspect of it, gettin pissed up on the away bus, not rememberin the game cos i was too pissed etc, watchin it in the ground..... i watch on tv, laptop or listen to the radio.... still go a to a couple of aways / cup games, or home games when i get my brothers / sisters / mams / dads ticket
  17. for example, i missed my grandads funeral to got to juventus away.... however, now if we had 50 quid left for the week and i could choose to go to the football or have a day out with wifey, i do the honourable thing and dont go to the football.... im not a selfish kind of lad!
  18. I think that is a ridiculous statement like - how much you support your football club isn't about far into your pockets you dig. I see Otters point. I agree, I went from 'hardore' supporter to a fan. I still love nufc, but I no longer go without to attend football matches.
  19. money / work / not being that arsed any more..... That's the real problem, the membership thing is just a convenient excuse. If anyone actually wanted to go to a game they would, as simple as that. not always that cut and dry... but it is one factor with me, i admit.
  20. money / work / not being that arsed any more.....
  21. Then it costs you £10, not really the end of the world if L7 is more important than simply going to a couple of games if you ask me. Or am sure if you have any mates there will be a use for it over the course of a season........ Not really, all my mates are total non-football watching faggots, apart from Dino who has a season ticket (albeit in the family section, the loser). Basically, the problem is that it's just another hoop to jump through in order to get a ticket for football, it's just a really terrible/in existent sales strategy. They should be doing all they can to get people in, and on the morning of the game it should be easy to make an impromptu decision to turn up to SJP and watch NUFC. But it isn't. Ultimately, if you really wanted to go, you'd get a season ticket, or you'd order in plenty of time, or beg someone. But it's not those people that this membership crap stops, it's the fairweather twats like me, and the people who don't know whether they can go to the match till the last minute, for whatever reason. More hoops = less people. Nail on head. Pretty much applicable for me these days too. Aye spot on
