    Today's games

Even we'd be ashamed by that defending.

    Milner

    Better than Duff, tbh.
  3. I'm sure it won't be for at least another couple of months, so we'll have to decide if he's up to the job when the time comes. Bearing in mind that he'll need a decent run of games to get back to match fitness... it'll all come down to how desperate we are.

    Peter Ramage

For some reason I feel offended that Dabizas and Darren Peacock are being compared to Ramage. They weren't that shit.

    Milner

He's still learning, but currently he's our only creative midfield outlet. I think we'd really have been in the shit if he'd gone to Villa.
  6. If true, this is great news. I know he's not exactly Van Basten mkII, but he'd really help us out at the minute.
  7. Thought Milner had another good game. The best thing about today is that we didn't just roll over and die, but upped our game and got back at them. It could've gone either way in the end, but it turned out to be a decent match after a shitty start. Anyone else think Martins' touch today was awful?
  8. Kickback from Rangers?
  9. I'd definitely take Ljungberg for the right price. Top player.
  10. Paraphrased: Fella claiming to be Maccarone's coach says that McLaren promised he'd play in the baldy git in the League Cup final and then didn't. Says this is a prime example of shit man-management and that Southgate is now at it by promising Maccarone a run of games and then hoying in fatty Viduka instead. Says that Southgate should publically apologise to Maccarone and jolly well pull his socks up otherwise he will lose the dressing room.
  11. There was a lot of that, tbh, but I think that was mainly down to good movement from Man Utd.

    The midfield

The main problem is we couldn't keep the ball. Our passing was shoddy all over the pitch and they pressured very well when the ball fell to either Martins or Sibs.
  13. Shut up, of course it was Parker's fault. It's Parker's fault we're in this position. In fact, it's Parker's fault we were beaten to the title in 96.
  14. Excellent result. I thought Emre was pap and our passing in general was quite atrocious; Martins in particular barely found his man all night.
  15. When it comes to British teams I 'support' the ones who play the most attractive football, and those two are Man Utd and Arsenal.
  16. Everyone else knows I'm going to arrange a little accident for him this evening.
  17. Type that again and I will hunt you down. No joke.
  18. Are these all centre-halves? Why don't we have a decent full-back for a change?
  19. Too fucking right. Thay may as well hold their hands up and say, 'Aye, you've got us there. We've got no tradition or originality of our own. Sorry, lads. We're like Boyzone doing shit cover versions of decent songs. We'll get our coats...' Surely some mentalist has come up with a song about Blackburn they can use.
  20. I thought Chelsea were disappointing, tbh. I know they say all the best teams have to grind out results, but I think if that had been Man Utd, they would've given us a right pasting. Good point about their players' physique: the likes of Ballack, Lampard, Essien, Terry, etc. are real athletes. Our lot don't come close, really.
  21. Might be. Might be just that he wanted to try to win a football match.

    The Injuries at NUFC

Well Souness thought it was the training pitch, whereas Robson thought it was the lack of proper training facilities. I think Souness later said that the club was cursed. I think our current crisis is down to two things: bad luck and injury-prone players. Dyer and Owen have always been prone to injury. Duff and Parker have both had injury problems themselves. Carr's been in and out since we've bought him and has never fully receovered from his injury problems. All players get injured, but some get injured more than others: we need to stop buying crocks, basically.
  23. Thought Rossi was one of our best players yesterday, so I'd keep him there.
  24. It was a great performance in spite of that. Bollocks. If we are Darlington and had just lost that game 0-1 in the F.A Cup, it was a great performance. Premiership clubs that consider themselves top 6 material shouldn't describe any performance as "great" when so little chances were created and we lost the game. Great effort. Not a great performance. Top 6! What are you smoking? Did you see the fucking team we put out?
