He has done a great job in very difficult circumstances often having to select and motivate a threadbare team to get the crucial results we needed. Unlike Steve Excuse down the road, who has repeatedly demoralised his team before they go on the pitch, using pathetic excuses to shore up his own position in a very selfish manner, Pardew praised and motivated his depleted squad and never once bemoaned his own luck. His approach is a big reason why we have succeeded during a tough period while they have capitulated. Having had a bit of recogntion from the fans at Chelsea, I really hope he gets a few chants against WBA, he deserves them for the job he's done for us so far.

Almost as funny as listening to another non-stop excuse interview with Brucie on radio. The suckers are falling for it and will probably keep him so he can finish the job properly next season. I'm glad they won on Saturday if helps him to keep the job.

This season he has acquired a bit of "Titus-itus" - extremely strong, brilliant in patches but an error always waiting to happen. His positioning for the goal we conceded at Blackpool and his suicidal square passes just the latest blunders which blemish some otherwise outstanding performances. For this reason I don't see him making the starting line up of a truly top side, we're probably about the right level for him right now. I'm sure he's leaving and it's understandable - he's a young professional and he fancies trying something new. Good luck to him but he's by no means irreplacable.

Total meltdown. Excellent. I don't know anyone who really cares about finishing above Sunderland most of us just wanted to finish 17th or higher this season and if that also means we finish above them then that's fine but no big deal. The macum fukcwit above has just bought into the shyte in the press which has almost forced our players etc into quotes about the matter. Now taking the piss out of macums is another thing. That's our birthright, and let's face it watching their chairman and manager blow tens of millions as their European "dream" disintegrated and listening to their whingeing excuses week after week has made that even easier than normal. FWIW I'm still not sure we will finish above them, but do I give a toss. No.

It's not getting to me,I just find it comical that some posters on here feel the need to list Newcastle youth team players to try and claim that you have similar injuries to Sunderland when the facts are that no team in the entire league has has to put up with injuries like us. That's not excuses, that's the facts. It's not fact! You've been drawn in by the "injuries" excuse. Over the season you've had no more than any other club. True injuries have hit hard now, but are comparable to what we have. You had 4 out injured a few weeks ago when we had 7 "first team" players out. Give up with the injury excuse. Having a load of players out for the last 3 games does not constitute the whole season. Bunch of bloody whinging excuse makers! No way ! The macums are the only team in the league to have injuries and as everyone knows they were nailed on for a European place until they lost Titus. It's got nothing at all to do with shyte management, lousy signings and dis-interested players.

They're so proud of their injury list expect an open top ambulance parade through the streets of wearside at the end of the season with their crippled heroes waving crutches at the adoring fans.

You seem to be unable to answer a simple straight question in your haste to post smiley faces. Were you at the match Mr.Fans spokesperson ? If you were then finding an opinion that Danny Guthrie may have been MOTM so rapturously funny may actually have some credibility. Guthrie had a good game by his usual standards, but was by no means the best player on the pitch. If having an average game rather than a crap one is man of the match worthy, then yes, he wins it. I think that much is obvious to anyone who watched the match at St James' or on TV. Defining the "best player on the pitch" in a B&W shirt last night is very difficult as there were a lot of very good and very gutsy performances. Much of what I based my opinion of Guthrie's performance on was a superb work rate and lung busting runs to track ManU breaks when we were pressing early on. This is not as easy to gauge on TV as it is from the stands. He also showed excellent composure when receiving the ball under pressure in the 2nd half. Anyway it seems that behind your politician like question dodging the answer to the question is probably "no".

Were you in the stadium daft lad ? Because if you watched on TV you'll have missed how much ground he was covering to get behind the ball when they were breaking in the first half. Very effective. MOTM. Guthrie was magnificent, by his standards. Half the starting XI could have got MOTM, Guthrie included. It was a team effort, and the team played well. Makes it difficult to award MOTM. I don't see why this is difficult to grasp It's reassuring to know that at least some people who aspire to represent us fans have a grasp on what football actually is and aren't driven by prejudice and self importance. Thank you Chris.

MOTM. As you seem to like yellow smiley things. Self appointed up his own arse fans spokesperson who doesn't bother to attend matches ;D

He's cracked and going under. Always seems to dodge the fact that he has spent a huge fortune on players and contracts and made zero real progress. Anyone who thiks Lee fkin Cattermole is fit to captain a Premiership club really has lost the plot. Hope they get the couple of results they crave between now and the end of the season, just enough to appease the board so that the fat Geordie lad can finish the job properly next season.

Excellent game of football with us taking the game to them initially but ending it very much on the defensive. I thought all players did well with even the ineffective Lovenkrands still contributing with hard graft. Colocinni and Tiote were class and deservedly take the plaudits but what about the two players alongside them, Williamson and Guthrie both superb and for me Guthrie just shades MOTM for an incredibly hard working performance which included a lot of skill under pressure. Have to say the ferocity of abuse shown towards Shearer's mate was amazing and I don't totally understand it. He was offered a huge deal - he took it and he was injured a lot, but when he did play he contributed a lot and had an excellent scoring ratio - many of them in vital matches. Never seen one of our pantomine villains given such vitriolic abuse.

We have only had an "average" injury list this season according to Toons Taylor the other day.Our injury list this season is beyond ridiculous,an absolute joke to be honest. You're starting to sound like the fat red faced whinger who manages your team - always making excuses. Your injuries are no worse than many other teams, Newcastle included, it's just the inborn wearside persecution complex that makes things seem worse. Didn't you have a near full squad to select from two games ago against WBA ? I'd take a look at your manager's team selection and some of his expensive signings attitudes rather than join in with his constant excuse making.
-
Might have been the same old bag who was photographed on the pitch with the rest of the inbreeds "trying" to get at the Newcastle fans during one of their numerous playing area invasions, which always go unpunished by the FA for some unfathomable reason.

Ryanair isnt really suited for tall people, cramped flying turd of an airline. What a shame for him....... Yeah, it's not quite like being up the front with Emirates, but it looked like the budget still stretched to a priority boarding ticket despite him trying to bankrupt the club with mega contracts for dodgy players and even dodgier managers.
-
The prince of blarney himself, Nile Quinn on the Ryanair Dublin - Newcastle flight this morning. Not looking quite as jolly ho ho ho as we've been accustomed to previously.

Couldn't give a toss really, all most of us wanted at the begining of the season was to finish above any 3 teams in the league.

One thing this weekend has proved is that the theory that Newcastle fans are not bothered about finishing above Sunderland is now blew out of the water, the sheer euphoria on this thread and the "other games thread" has been stunning. One poster by the name of Jonny Hall even described it as "the best weekend ever",let's hope Newcastle do finish above Sunderland to save some serious red faces on this messageboard come May. you can tell when wearside is taking it hard , he starts name dropping Typical bitter macum. He's too thick to realise that were not really that bothered about being above THEM, we just find it incredibly funny that we ARE above them despite the vast amounts they've spent on transfers and players and managers contracts, and that until recently the dimwits were talking about challenging for Europe. We're just doing what Geordies do by birthright - taking the piss out of macums - I'm sure no one is really getting excited about being above a team we've laughed at for decades now. All hail Brucey - top man !
-
What exactly is it they've gone through? Us being better than them? It sometimes seems that we are their raison d'etre. Their bitterness for us outweighs any feelings for their own club. It's quite funny when you live here. 5-1.

Ouch, wrong thread. I was wondering how far off the subject this thread was going to go. Views on Libya, anyone? You implying that we have a despotic leader who does not listen to his people. Seriously I wish I could stop posting in this thread so it could just die the death it deserves.

Piss off man ! How can that possibly be newsworthy just two days after the messiah has uttered a few words of innuendo on a sports radio show.
