  1. Time to step up. Huge responsibility and reliance on Krafth and Murphy. Thought miggy would come in for aSM. Shocked.
  2. He is clearly loved by everyone but maybe a bit of luxury player for what we need now and the victim of Fraser getting back into the side. Miggy will have a part to play yet this season. No doubt.
  3. Keeping everything crossed for his recovery. Manq will fill in just fine for Trippier with Targett on the left.
  4. Feel sick every time I see this news. Rest up and get fit soon Captain, my captain. Hope we put him on the touchline with the staff and players while he is out lol

    Lucas Digne

Didn't even notice he was playing. Honestly don't remember him being mentioned all game.
  6. Fingers crossed on Manq being OK. That would soften the trippier blow considerably.
  7. It's just a flesh wound. Keep the faith. He will be back on the pitch with one leg on Saturday.
  8. He is a gem. Ominous update from Howe. Hope it is better than it sounds. "I think Manquillo landed awkwardly on his ankle, so I think his is a ligament problem." https://www.shieldsgazette.com/sport/football/newcastle-united/eddie-howe-issues-worrying-kieran-trippier-injury-update-3566502
  9. According to Howe - Stamped on his foot and hoping its not any broken bones...awaiting x-ray results . https://www.shieldsgazette.com/sport/football/newcastle-united/eddie-howe-issues-worrying-kieran-trippier-injury-update-3566502 Also a likely shitter -> "I think Manquillo landed awkwardly on his ankle, so I think his is a ligament problem."
  10. Good god. This sounds bad. Rest up sweet prince. We need you!

    Joelinton

Howe - Still see's him as an attacking player Joelinton - Doing everything he can to show he should never be played near the opposition penalty box. Honestly he is an absolute stud as a DM. He is undroppable. Incredible.
  12. It is incredible this is largely the same players that started the season. We were by some distance the worst team in the league over the last year or so. Badly organized, lazy, apathetic and soft. The high press, while we faded today, is intense and really gives me positivity every time we play. Our press and relentless intensity will give ANY team a problem and tough day at the office. We deserved a bit of luck today but Howe turning this squad around, albeit with some canny character additions, is hugely impressive. Long way to go but glad Howe is finding hard work paying off finally. Long may it continue.
  13. Certainly something to do with the man management, organization and coaching. You can see the difference in Ben White where he is maybe expected to be more self sufficient while the likes of Potter/Howe are all about getting the most out of players. Think Potter has been great for that and think Howe has always been similar.
  14. Well in from the big man today. Solid stuff.
  15. That shirt rip.. Like a 5 year old 6'6 Big Dan on Christmas Day.
  16. Villa were POOOOR today. Worse than Everton imo. Think there is nothing like an evening game to gee us up like Everton, we had a bit of a hang over after a really positive start. Winded badly by losing Tripps and Manq. In the end the back four were very good. Central three ran their hearts out, Jonjo included but tired badly. Thought wee man Fraser was immense, ASM was fine, his lack of tracking back scares me, not least when we have Dummett on behind him. Wood always works hard, that one shot when he could have slipped Fraser in... gahh. I get him wanting it...but. Keep This Run Going!
  17. Bruno is what we need but given how its going on the injury front I don't think we give up our last sub easy.
  18. Hope this is hijinx from Dubs to get the players organized.
