And at Everton together lol There isn't a player on our team Pickford knows more about!
-
Needless and predictable situation. Still at the end of the day they are professionals and have to handle situations so you can't always pull people out. Could equally damage morale.

Tuned in for the second half. Everton equalized. Tuning back out. Sorry folks. My bad.

Missed the game, watched the first highlights video I searched for on YouTube. Thought a mackem had edited the worst parts of the match together as a joke. Turns out that was the game. Yikes. At least we made it through. Our creativity when plan A doesn't work needs some work. For the most part Plan A doesn't work out because their isn't enough creativity lol

Sounds like a few people traveled as fans. Full credit. We should be winning this game albeit it's a tough travel. Positive start continues. We struggled finding final passes in the first half at least, just a bit of nervous, sometimes thoughtless panic play. Lots to like from different areas of the pitch McQuade was great and Andrews finish was class.

He did well defensively but it's his positivity on the ball and use of it that was a big difference for us today. Less errors, he is still young and leaning.

We finally showed up this season today. Comparative and switched on all game. Still missing a bit of creative magic in the final third. Obviously no Isak doesn't help. Tonali was magic. All the lads put in a fantastic shift and hopefully the goal is the turning point for Gordon. Great result and performance.

Good God, what terrible news. Wishing him all the best beating this. Poor guy.

From my experience, it's often, obviously not always, a mindset thing. For many following the women's team and lower league teams and grass roots stuff, it's as much about the journey, supporting the community and seeing the teams grow as much as anything else. It's not a right or wrong, or a die hard collectors acheivement badge, although there is always a hardcore percentage of "if it's 1% related to NUFC I will superman the hell out of it and there". Respect to that too. Its similar with the slow growth of football over here. The Canadian Prem is league 2 standard, lower league one at best. Plenty of die hard football fans and friends around that have zero interest in watching a local CPL team because of the standard and would rather watch euro leagues on tv at home or the pub. There is a degree of supporter need to get to the next level, local support has to be there. Personally I see alot of being part of the problem not the solution with plenty of people moaning about the level and things not improving quick enough but also not interested in supporting to help things getting better. That's different to something just not being for them though. All that said, with more of lifes responsibilities as you get older (from my experience) it's also not something everyone can commit time and money to, whether they want to or not. It's priorities. I've also enjoyed watching different things over time too. To each their own. My days of going to open mic nights and scouting new music is long gone. fuck I barely get to any big gigs anymore. I also dont source out trainee chefs to go out for a meal to support their pathway lol.

Just came in to post how weird it is to see Arsenal park the bus. They are getting pummeled back. Enough bodies to cope and block angles for decent passes and shots so far though .

We will see in 9 months.

Great win. Onwards and upwards!

Surprised no one has edited Wes Andersons fantastic Mr. Fox with Boggis, Bunce and Bean with Howe playing Mr.Fox.

It's ALLLLL about the Narrative.
-
Almost definitely, but I completely get it. Most people here are too long in the tooth and have seen it over and over with managers to predict where we are going if the results dont quickly change. The press get their claws out and start alienating the fanbase from each other and turning on the team and Howe. Easy narrative a new leadership team to want their own manager to come in rather than stick with the one they didn't hire. Means it's easy to spin question marks over who is loyal to Howe and whether Amanda and Mehrdad were his only allies etc. The England job is just another narrative to spin. While PiF remain in charge are still inevitable imo, we just need to wait it out. Either way it's clear press speculation is affecting everyone. The worry is how easily the players might have been dragged down by just the entry level speculation. It's likely only going to Amp up. If everyone doesn't fix it, it's another predictable but sad situation upcoming.

On the upside, Pope's shocking first half blunders made me not even not even notice whether his distribution was any better. Even when we were trying in the second half, we had a mix of players wanting to move the ball quickly and create and other players at walking pace trying to slow it down. Team doesn't seem at all unified in approach.
-
Ominous shot of Mitchell, Eales and Bunce. Far too easy to read whatever you want into the wry smiles. Bunce looked like he wished he was anywhere else!

Fuck me.

I think some players just remembered what a press was.

Nah, it's Eddie being Eddie. Overly patient integrating.

Nice to see our next interim manager in the stands scouting.

Fulham have 4 players close to a red here, as a silver lining on top of the turd.
