  1. If the telegraph is correct they are also interviewing DoF candidates this week. So I imagine they will take the notes/shortlist of their preferences in the Manger interviews to whomever they hire as DoF.
  2. Good stuff. I scanned through that segment. Even if they were out to lunch at times, Pickford "coming home" being the best lol. Arsenal: Saka - Hey no one said this was supposed to be realistic right? Villa: Watkins Brentford: Toney - Unfinished business Brighton: Lamptey - Love his versatility Burnley: Tarkowski Chelsea: Hudson-Odoi Palace: Zaha Everton: Lewis Gibson - lets just right that wrong Leeds: Phillips Leicester: Tielemans Liverpool: Bobby Clark - while we are at it, lets right this one too. Man City: Aké ManU: van der Beek Norwich: Aarons Southampton: Ward-Prowse Spurs: Alli Watford: Sarr West Ham: Zouma Wolves: Neves
  3. Favre has also been criticized for his teams defending. Especially from those that watched Dortmund on this message board. Favre plays attacking front foot football too? We would be getting more experience especially in turning relegation form teams around but not sure pragmatic or Defensive is right with favre.
  4. "Graeme Jones will lead the team on an interim basis, starting with Saturday's trip to Crystal Palace, and will be supported by the coaching team of Steve Agnew, Stephen Clemence, Ben Dawson and Simon Smith." https://www.nufc.co.uk/news/latest-news/steve-bruce-leaves-newcastle-united-by-mutual-consent/
  5. Overmars Ajax XI? Marco Bizot Sven Botman Jurrien Timber Matthijs de Ligt Noussair Mazraoui Sergiño Dest Frenkie de Jong Ryan Gravenberch Donny van de Beek Donyell Malen Kasper Dolberg Subs: Noa Lang, Justin Kluivert, Mitchel Bakker, Steven Bergwijn, Davy Klaassen, Pablo Rosario
  6. Interesting. Not sure he is the calibre of the other 3 linked but traditionally the best club for developing players. Wonder if we are looking at more than just one DoF role and a team.
  7. Likewise, the clips of him on sky has been fantastic and spot on. Fantastic to see parts of the media actually sticking up for the supporters and club. Funny its those with zero actual insight or just buddies with Bruce peddling the garbage. Been a nice, know who your friends are experience lol.
  8. He hasn't been treated any worse than anywhere else (Villa fans started the Cabbage head thing didn't they?) or how he treated Sheffield Wednesday coming here. The vitriol is always OTT by some corners of every fanbase but such is the passion and hazy magnifying glass we all see our clubs through. I can't believe we are any worse than other sets of fans, yet he has been worse than nearly everyone before him. It is simple, just like the players, all the fans want is honesty, respect and putting the work/time in. 3 things we simply didn't see enough of from Bruce, not to say there isn't lots we would never see behind the scenes but at times he flaunted the opposite of all ideals in our faces. I don't wish Bruce ill. The club is in his family (even if his genuine love is still in question) and I am sure he wanted to do a good job at some point but the hunger and desire to pull out all the stops to make that happen seemed to disappear quickly. You have to have belief in yourself and your abilities at that level to do well and he did so I don't think even knowing what he would walk into, he would turn it down. He never should have been considered, he wasn't a premier league manager at that point. I just wish he had the dignity to have seen the horror show and got out quicker.
  9. Nice to see Graves is up to speed with the papers from several days ago. Hopefully someone in place for Palace but I doubt they would make the interim statement they did if we are very close to appointing someone full time. Maybe a little "under promise, over deliver", if we are lucky and they are just covering all bases in case something falls through.
  10. oops yes for the most of you. still tomorrow for me for another 32 mins!
  11. Northern echo echoing the mirror and star stories that Bruce still hasn't heard from the new owners since the Spurs game and will be back in training tmrw and preparing for palace. hope they are wrong.
  12. They will find a work around. They all always do. Loop hole city.
  13. Bunch of the papers are running stories about us interviewing people. Its gone from initial reports of him likely going, to he is definitely going. Now it's not even a question. It is just who is next and who is being talked to. If he isn't out tmrw it is an absolute shit in the face for Bruce and purposeful indignity keeping him hanging like McClaren was. I'm here for both but hope he is out and doesn't turn up tmrw. Everyone is ready to move on. Should be noted these type of high level business people work with their cards close to their chest it's quite likely just whispers and guess-work on a lot of things. We will only hear what they want us to hear imo.
  14. To be fair, he could have been told he is sacked earlier today. They might have been spending the rest of the day working on his replacement. Bruce might have to play up false pretences until it is said otherwise, announced by the club or a replacement confirmed. Still I don't see the need to have him "play along". Having him at training would continue to be a detriment for everyone any way you try and spin it.
  15. Saw this guy in the airpot. Ron Brought his own dossier for the interview tonight. Said he was "hopeful".
  16. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/steve-bruce-newcastle-manager-owners-25252417 Who knows when the Mirror spoke to him but at that point apparently Bruce hadn't spoken to the owners regarding anything.
  17. Could be that Bruce is gone..its just taking a long time for the dream team of Rooney, Lampard and Terry to agree to wages to take his job.
  18. ManDoon is Switzerland... wait that is a sign. FAVRE IN!
  19. Tick tock. Ando is going to get a slap from his bosses. Pure madness if Bruce is even at training tomorrow, let alone taking the Palace game.
  20. Not convinced its Favre or Fonseca either all three of them have been criticized for their lack of defensive organization. Pretty torn between Favre and Fonseca. If there wasn't the whole ASM rumours I'd save Favre has the experience and calm we need right now. He is also great with younger players. Fonseca seems more of a gamble but could be inspired. Howe is someway behind both for me but I would have accepted him with open arms a few months ago and he absolutely will have been improving himself in his break from management. He is meticulous. Surprised AVB isn't being pushed more, he is a maverick but I think he would be great.
  21. Just the pure renewed hope and excitement I am feeling right now. It is like the takeover never happened a week and a bit ago. That is how dark Bruce managed to make that week and a half lol.
  22. SSN Breaking news: 18 premier league clubs have blocked NUFC from sacking Steve Bruce.
  23. Off topic but this confused the hell out of me for a second when scanning for graves updates!
