"It's not about me" though.. lol Sorry for you lads that have Redknapp. Got Shearer and Shay Given on my feed It is beautiful, even tim sherwood can't ruin it. Shearer asked Shay if he had seen any of the lads there. Bernard he bumped into, hasn't seen them but knows Dyer and Ginola are there too. -
Think he will be canned Tuesday or Wednesday if we win tmrw. Monday if we don't. They seem to want to be as respectful as possible, I reckon they will give him a day before the news should we win tmrw.

Dyche and Wilder suggested by Robbie Savage I won't post the full article, it will make people more angry.
-
If he wasn't on 999 games he would be gone already. It's 100% a PR move. Bruce is confusingly widely liked, if not respected outside of most that have experienced him as a manager! Not giving the press/fans wanting us to fail a chance to stick the knife in over mistreating Bruce > Placating fans who want Bruce out but are onside with the ownership regardless
-
It is a given he is gone, just a matter of when. He can sit there and be hopeful about winning them over and mention how "they told me to just carry on until he hears different". He even mentions they have not talked about his future beyond that. Sure there is a small possibility once the review is done they could say we are keeping you on for now but even with that as a very worst case scenario the fact they haven't told him from the start means it is a matter of time until he is replaced. They will sort the DOF and maybe CEO, then hire a manager. I expect in addition to recommending DOF choices, Brown and McParland will offer the new DOF their list. Best case scenario they are waiting to unveil them all at once and it will happen early next week. We have waited long enough for this to happen a few weeks more is fine, even if we are so close to expunging him. Spurs was always going to be a tough potential start for a new manager or Jones, even if its winnable given our record against Spurs. Eyes will be on the Palace game if they can sort the DOF to a point they get their choice of manager hired imo.
-
Agree but yes, it would have worked with just Jones imo, Harper and reserve coaches filling in. Keeping Bruce is all PR imo. I don't blame them for that either, even if at the first chance of giving Bruce a mic it has almost blown up in their faces! Hope he is gone Monday.
-
I'd be pretty shocked with how its looking if they weren't just getting the DOF and CEO lined up before the manager. Hopefully to announce all three at the same time!
-
The ownership should really just invite every single available manager that's been linked to have them in the stands and shown on camera on Sunday, like a massive who dunnit.
-
He had a chance to come out, show some humility, emulate the new ownerships tone and show some class. ...nah fuck it I give ya a slap.
-
A few nice joint rounds of you're getting sacked in the morning followed by Nah nah hey hey at the end of the game would be lovely.
-
Wonder with his comments whether he would be interested in the youth set up. Would be an amazing guest coach down the line either way.
-
As a Dof and head coach set up Potter would be my preference out of the two. Would work well with Jones too obviously. Favre seems like the most experienced realistic choice for turning us around. The notaligic part of me would love Mourinho or an interim Wenger. The former for the bobby links even if he feels a bit tainted, rose tinted specs make me hope he would just click with us.
-
Even for Bruce that presser seems to have been a raging disaster of bitterness and stupidity. Amazing.
-
Aye, that is also if we settle for someone a bit shit and I don't think we will. If they weren't limited they would be the long term manager of choice. If they are just interim the board will be ruthless should the person they want become available. Outside of Conte or Rafa I don't know who would be a long term manager on that list of linked names. Rodgers maybe. The rest all seem like transitional at best. To be fair to Conte he isn't generally a long term manager either. Having a Rangnick or Favre come in for a year or two to get us in a place for a successor makes sense to me. Just no Martinez, Lampard or Gerrard please.
-
That's great stuff. Thanks for the share. Interim manager seems the way unless they really pull a shock Conte level rabbit out of the hat.
-
Staveley sat there looking at her phone. "FFS Yasir, I can see that you have read the fucking whatsapp message.. just reply so we can let Bruce go."
-
It has begun.. More of this.
-
Absolutely, and not just that. The media and other clubs fans want to take every chance to stick the knife into this new regime and will mistakes that can fit their agenda or stereotypes. If the new owners can't remove/replace Bruce with precision and class then it is damaging like you say. Like it or not more people seem to hold a high "public" opinion of Bruce than not, even if push comes to shove they would never have him at "their" clubs. Treating Bruce with a bit of respect however grating to us as it is, is more important if there is no immediate plan in place. Give him his 1000th if we have to and let him ride off into the wind like a whimpering, whispering fart.
-
Don't remember seeing that but for DOF I expect Henrique and Campos are sexier choices, not least that both have been linked to this in the past. I felt everything said about Rangnick in the press was pushing a narrative he was more interested in a role than the new owners might be. Reports yesterday had suggested he would be interviewed along with the others though. He is my top choice for manager, outside Conte. Think he would be an incredible interim appointment. Quite possible he isn't very interested in returning to management at this stage though. Edit: I have also gone "Full Hitzfeld" on Rangnick. Just seems perfect.
-
100% what they have achieved has been done largely in a beautiful way!
-
By all reports we are interviewing Rangnick, Henrique, and Campos, maybe Marwood for DOF (Marwood maybe for CEO not DOF?) . If this is the calibre talent we are looking at I am not concerned about who the choice of manager will be.
