    Isaac Hayden

Serious misjudgment keeping him. His head is away and he is a liability. That said we kept him because the shitheads upstairs wouldn't have replaced him. Longstaff might have done better there but that's risking breaking him if he isn't ready. I think there is a player in Hayden but he is clearly a write off here unless his family situation improves. Ie them moving north. That isn't going to happen by the sounds of it.
  2. It's tough but he isn't which is part of the problem. He can't seem to break through the ceiling right now. Like alot of our first half play and players they show signs of being great but the end quality isn't there yet.
  3. Shame about the free-kick for the goal but otherwise Fernandez definitely looked decent. Hopefully Schar can aclimatise to push for minutes. The competition will certainly be good for Jamaal.
  4. I know I'm still a bit rose tintet specs with our players and reality of other teams. This is a game I thought we would have a chance at getting 3 points at. The reality is none of our team would get a game for Arsenal and almost all of their players would be an instant marquee player for us. Our players (generally) bust a but, work hard and are likeable. Rafa has motivated lots of them to play above their stations over the past year. I think that can easily gives us as fans a false perception of reality and some false hope. It's easy to put on a brave face and despite knowing it still expect a better reality. I don't fault rafa or the players, although obviously they make mistakes. I hope this just spurs on the outside the ground protests and fuels the ranks. Until Ashley goes or has a lobotomy and backs rafa the only ways is down. !zzay
  5. Would have won it with Liam, Millar.
  6. Why? Don't rate him in the slightest. Positionally crap, always has a mistake in him and goes on a lad holiday in Magaluf. What more could you ask for? Saylor playing alongside him?
  7. Nice finish. Although no one runs to get the ball to try and get time for a second?
  8. Other than the shit start to this half and resignation of defeat after it's clear everyone has tried their all. The players at this club are all not good enough to compete with world class players.
  9. It's more annoying because we were verging on competitive in the first half.
  10. Championship team getting beaten by team full of world class players shocker. Very few if any of our players could get a game for arsenal let alone the better club's in the league.
  11. Apologies. Should have posted the source. https://rokerreport.sbnation.com/2018/9/10/17838896/roker-roundup-sunderland-owner-clears-up-confusion-around-signing-liverpool-striker-liam-millar It's true (the report not what he is saying). Also true that they were 100% in for Liam Miller despite what he says.
  12. Donald clears up confusion "Sunderland had been linked with a move for young Liverpool striker Liam Millar for most of the summer but despite Stewart Donald confirming our interest in the player during a Roker Rapport podcast back in July, no move had materialised and he continued to appear for Liverpool’s youth teams: I don’t think it’s officially gone through. He was someone that was on our list and we were expecting him to sign. However in Stewart’s latest appearance on the podcast, which you can listen to HERE, Donald cleared up the confusion and admitted that the rumoured move for the Canadian international was only down to an error on his behalf: Now, I might have got the wrong Liam when we were talking. When we were talking about a Liam, I was looking at a Liam on Merseyside and we were signing a lad from Liverpool and Everton (Jordan Hunter and Jack Bainbridge) and I’ve got my names confused there. We were looking at a lad called Liam something and a lad called Miller something and when you said Liam Millar to me, I used the first name of one and the second name of the other. So I’ve got that wrong." Huh. So might have got it wrong might not.
  13. Will always appeal to a section of fans in the way vinny jones did at Leeds and Wimbledon. Pretty much 50/50 with him for me. He was pretty hit and miss for Joey here and not hugely dissimilar to shelvey although if much rather the latter every day of the week. He didn't do himself and ergo the club any favours too often on and off the pitch but when he was on he was a game changer imo. We were usually a better side with him in it as like Shelvey he had an eye for a pass and influenced our game. Given his background he has come far and that's a credit to his determination. Like Jones or savage he is a heart on the sleeve character that like savage talks far more than he should. More than the robbie there is method to his madness more than not.
  14. West Ham are almost as gross as we are. Is Nuno Santos actually Jean Tigana in disguise? It's been long enough I will grow a beard, change my name and no one will remember.
  15. Almost forgot this was on today, wish I had completely forgotten. This is the reality of Newcastle under Ashley. Fucking Penance and purgatory.
  16. Hell of a header. Hopefully he can build on these two goals and bring more confidence to his game. I think the competition with Rondon is good for him.
  17. Back training with the first team in the .co.uk training pics. in the vacant number 16 shirt? Or has he always been training with the first team?
