What it feels like to head the ball for the first time. -
Course they have. Usual blame the victim approach from our top ass. https://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/12023163/ball-is-in-matty-longstaffs-court-now

Going to be tight between Watford and villa. Bournemouth are joining Norwich now.

I almost jokingly posted the day he had that big interview and "vow to score goals" on the restart to say he would never play again. Looks like that's actually going to happen.
-
Quality today. We know he is quality on his day though. Consistency is always the problem.
-
Disappointing. I have kept faith in him as long as I could but he has zero confidence in the final third and wants to get rid of the ball at every opportunity. Nice little layoffs and short passes simply arent enough. He is a luxury player without the luxury. More so he is the anti striker.
-
Crunch talks with Bruce today according to Bruce. Nice seeing you this season Matty.
-
26 - two years older than I thought he was lol! I watched him in the MLS and we have barely seen anything from him. Love to think what he and ASM could be capable of with better players around them. The more confident he gets the better he will become, especially now he is playing where he should be, just needs a decent striker in front of him to open up a bit more space.
-
He is just too much of a luxury when he offers nothing in or near the box other than playing hot potato and trying to get rid of the ball as soon as he can. How can a Striker be so petrified to attack? Really solid performance otherwise but without doing what he was bought to do and the basic job of a striker he is a bit pointless. Just lacks any killer instinct.

Jamaal Lascelles (now playing for League One Leicester City)

Playing next to a morphing into Jaap Stam, Fernandez makes a big difference to Lascelles imo. Class performance though. Alongside even more quality he could actually find himself in the England picture. -
Gayle finished well today and had a great backtracking defensive run at one point. Thought he was pretty anonymous otherwise. Bit like a good DM though, doesn't necessarily mean he wasn't playing a role. Wasn't particularly blown away though. Thought Joelinton was much more involved. Still looks petrified to take on a player or take a shot.

Villa, Bournemouth and Norwich it is then.

Real shame for tallstaff. He was playing well and we dipped for a while after he came off. Great half. Gayle absolute pish other than the goal. I wish Joelinton had some killer instinct and wanted to take players on. Perfect game for shelvey. Our own tempo and space to ping balls around. -

Mind games. It is all smoke and mirrors with Brucey. Then wham he walks into the goalpost. -
No rumours, but the absolute simple logic of their financial situation, now and ongoing, is that administration is almost inevitable. If they did it now the 12 points would come off next year right?
-
Sad, especially as they have looked to have pulled themselves safe. Will be interesting to see what precedent is set as they wont be alone given covid.
-
Was clearly offside..surely? Manure fully deserve the win so far though even if Brighton can feel hard done by the second goal with that offside call and the ball being out of play just before. Townsend? Talking about players hating having to sit back against better opposition, then conceding and having to come out and have a go. Why couldn't they set up that way to begin. Sounds familiar.
