when people talk about the pressures on Glenn and he moans about having to manage the club, take training prepare for a match whilst sorting transfers out, he would be so under pressure if he didnt come out setting standards. He doesnt help himself by saying we are after X amount of players and players in these positions at the start of the window, or setting himself targets that will increase that pressure. For instance when in the past has another manager spoken about targets this year, let alone the official website publish quotes talking about potential players. Id prefer him to just keep quiet. If we get the players he is linking us to fine, but he is making himself look like a twat when they go elsewhere. He bends to far too please the fans sometimes. But of course thats not a bad thing, he is better than that though, he has more than the majority of the fans support, something his predecessor never had, he doesnt need to try so hard to impress.

His tactics and decision making when things are going wrong.. and sometimes right. Also think he tends to shoot himself in the foot with some of his press statements, why make the job harder for yourself by setting limits and statements on transfers, he also gets a bit monotonous with his statements, but on the whole he usually makes sense and doesnt moan. Im more than happy with him at the moment though. I dont think we would bring anyone in better than Roeder.. and even if we did it would be another few steps and seasons backwards before we go forwards again. Its progress under Roeder but its very slow. Full steam ahead.

Lets be fair if it was blackburn in the champions league final with the club paying the fans to turn up, Ewood park would still be less than half full. Ticket prices should be lower though, especially midweek.

Find those two a bit similar personally. They have similar qualities certainly, but Martins is much stronger, holds up the ball better, although Owen isnt that bad at it either. Oba doesnt make the surging runs that Owen does, and isnt the same type of predator in the box. Martis prefers to hang back for the most part. Whether this is preference over experience who knows. Personally I think there are at least as many differences than similarities. I think its Martins relative in experience in not making these runs, holding back and trying to shoot from distance that will make his partnership with Owen work.

Glad we have Oba and Martins tbh. We are way past needing Bellamy, whilst he would be a fine squad player, he would be a luxury signing who would more than likely be more trouble than he is worth.

Id say Ferdinand is the back up option if we dont get Davies.. If the money is there I wouldnt rule out bringing them both in should west ham go down and whether WBA go up. Depends on Gooch and whether we ship Bramble out or not. Ship out Bramble and Moore, do whatever you want with Ramage. Ship Edgar and Hunty out on loan. Davies, Gooch, Ferdinand and Taylor is a fine looking CB line up. Would more or less spunk the majority of our summer budget down the drain though.
