  1. What the wisp said. Credit to the club and himself. Bar his wifee incidents.
  2. Cant see Distin coming here, he has been touted in our faces the past two transfer windows when we have wanted a CB yet we still dont want him. If Emre does end up staying Id say we have a reasonable chance at getting Tuncay. I dont agree with Bent being the same as Owen/Oba, I think he would add a different dimension to our attack. Whilst he does posess Pace, which links the three of them, Owen and Oba, he is big strong, can hold up the ball and is probably the best out of the three in the air and does well for himself when Charlton play 4-5-1. If anything Bent is more like Ameobi than Owen and Oba. Also dont really agree with the Ashton Negativity, just because he got one bad injury he hasnt got back from yet doesnt make him a crock. Did he have a history of big injuries before? I dont think the pace thing is a problem either, alot of people said the same thing about Kuyt. Neither are snails, Ashton would be a fantastic addition and like Bent would add another dimension to our attack, Even better than Bent in the air and holding up the ball and still young and willing to learn. Cant see either costing any less than £10m though, and if our scouts actually do their job we can do alot more than buy a striker with that kind of money. We should be falling over ourselves to woo Sidwell here...and Tuncay really. Id certainly be happy with Distin here but I think we will get either Davies or Ferdinand instead. Who are both better, if not vastly inexperienced in comparison. If Wigan go down, Baines must be a priority. Bridge, Bale..some LB vastly better than what we have! Id keep Baba on though as second choice. Having chased Viduka and Jarvis in the past I wouldnt be suprised to see us move for them as squad cover also. Luque, Carr and Moore out though..

    Reading

Wow, my very bad.. Certainly not a big fan of the man though as you might have guessed.
  4. its nice to dream That said Luque, Bramble Carr and Moore are hardly working for peanuts, they would be a significant amount of the wage bill especially Luque. Jarvis wont be on much either, and we certainly want to increase the size of the squad. Emre will be off aswell, which would more than likely rule out Tuncay from coming.
  5. Tuncay Viduka Jarvis Duscher Ben Haim Distin Sidwell At a total cost of nothing.... then spunk whats left on a LB and RB Sell Luque, give Bramble a new contract then sell him, sell Carr, Pattison, Obrien and Moore.

    Reading

Good god no. Lets see how Reading do next season. See Jewell, but at least Jewell hasnt got anyone relegated from the premiership..yet. Offer Coppell a decent wage for being a club cleaner and he would drop whichever club he manages in an instant. That said he is a southerner through and through dont know if he would want to handle moving too much further than the midlands. If people want coppell, why not look at Moyes, Coleman, Jewell, Pearce et al.. Mediocre coach at best. Personally I think he is detestable.. but he has done well for himself this season.. FINALLY. I guess if Big Sam can do it, why not... cant see him much better than Dave Basset myself.
  7. Shouldnt be played this season, he is far too young. Not to mention Troisi, fatty patty, OB and Carroll are ahead of him should we wish to use any of the younguns this thursday. If anyone Troisi and Carroll should be given some time before lua lua. plenty of time for him in the future, give him the hunger to work harder for another year or so. Will be easier for his ego to grow if he gets played now.
  8. Waiting for Reading to make a complaint after they wound him up at the home game earlier in the season. He is as good as finished here.
  9. Id be delighted if he managed to get anything over 15. Shola still has everything yet to prove when he gets back, we will bring at least one more striker in over the summer aswell.

    Glenn Roeder

Given the circumstance of the season Good. I still like the guy, I think few managers if any would have done much better. His repeated quotes about players is starting to get annoying but he is definatley taking the club in the right direction for me if only very slooowwwwlllllllyyy. consistency is the key and i think we should stick by Roeder for another year at least.
  11. Will be a shame but like several people have mentioned. A) He is reasonably easy to replace. B) Was likely to leave in the summer anyways. add that to the fact he regularly picks up injuries and his form is indifferent. It might not turn out for the worst. The one thing about Emre is that he can turn a match on its head, he is a match winner and capable of fantastic things. That part of his game might be harder to replace.
  12. Anything ITV is complete trash. At least with C5 they make no qualms about being Shite. They have built a decent reputation on it
  13. Its annoying because they are both more than capable. Its a confidence issue that we dont need... ...which more than likely wont be helped when N'Zogbia comes back. If he is still stuck in his personal confidence crisis/Second Season Syndrome we wont help heaping all the pressure unto him. Hopefully he will come back recharged and enthused though.
  14. Happy with Baba bar the obvious rash challenge, his confidence will grow with each game. Providing him and Duff can keep fit we really need them to link up. The standard is set from the right where Milner and Solano are linking up fantastically, aided by sibbers and dyer last night. The left side needs to balance that up a bit more, baba is getting forward and is capable of putting a ball in and taking on player, he just needs to get that confidence back. Bramble and Taylor both had decent showing, another perfomance like that next week and I think Bramble will keep his place alongside Gooch. I fear Glenn is still very hesitant about Solano at RB, which is fair enough from a defensive point of view but he is easily our best option there.. I hope he keeps him there. Duff still seems like a one trick (cutting inside) pony to me, whilst he got more results yesterday there isnt much variety in his play, Id like to see him more down the by-lines banging a cross in, once in a while. Encouraging performance though. Would like to see dyer and Martins at least benched for the next game to keep them fresh for wigan - where we have to pick up (a) point/s. Wonder what the odds for Sibbers scoring 10+ goals for us this season were at the start of the season?
  15. Just sing praise Claridge hasnt been covering anything recently.
  16. Id love the interview with Gary Coleman aswell if its at all possible. Im such a big fan.
  17. Yeah right before Kick off, was hilarious. He made them look like the Gooch fan club.
  18. FFS. Well thats that then. Doesnt matter whether he is guilty or not, cant see him sticking around just to get jibes of away supporters and more tabloid trash each time he looks at someone in distain. If he has said these things he has dug his own grave, if he hasnt we should sue. Either way we are likely to lose a player that could have been pivitol in our future, more than likely for peanuts at the end of the season too.
  19. What was up with the goochmeister before the match. He turned the bench into Team Gooch... high fives all round! Gooh in da house!
  20. We will scrape through, maybe a 0-0 draw and some comments about getting the job done will follow though.
  21. Whats the craic with this whole with holding documents business with Tevez? Are they actually going to get punished for it or is it going to get pushed under the carpet and forgotten about, whilst Emre gets banned for life. Points deduction would be fantastic.

    Hugo Viana

Scarily Viana actually contributed more to us.
  23. I wouldnt say Milner was worse than Downing. His pace will always be his achilles heel though, if he manages to improve on his delivery I think he can really push for an England squad place though.
  24. If he was playing a bit more often maybe... But I guess you could argue the same with SWP.
  25. Indeed. He only came out a while ago saying he isnt normally a loud player on the pitch. He said he is happy to help all the younger players out, but only if they are asking for advice. He more than deserves it though. Solano would have been equally a good shout, but its good to have someone central in that role.
