Absolutely with you for the first part. We will however have a stack to spend. We do already but even before potentially missing out on europe we are going to lose 2 or 3 of Gordon, Tino, Tonali and Bruno. We know Hall, Miley and Thiaw also have been linked away to big clubs. Tons of players out of contract. Wouldn't be surprised to see at least 1 if not 2 of Wolt/Wissa/Osula sold. Willock out likely too and Pope probably sold. We could feasibly have 500m in the bank. Its going to be a massive squad turn over whether Howe stays or not.

More so, are we ready to see Eddie and mad dog in the dugout at one of those first 4?

Yeah but you know what we all know about us fans. We are.. It all depends on who comes in, the transfer window and start. They would soon be back on board.

We simply can't afford to waste this summer and have things start poorly and sack Eddie then. We spent a lot and "deepened the squad" in his own words. We knew the grueling schedule this season would hold from our last CL campaign and addressed it. More questions have to be asked of why either a) the reserves and youth arent good enough to step up into the depth or b) why Howe wont use them. This is another recruiting fail at this point. I know its coming in the younger age groups but there isnt and excuse for us not building rhe 18-21 pool to help the squad. I dont know what the right call is. I think the cup win has taken some pressure off the club and consistency is everything in football I trust Eddie but his stubbornness and decision making, mentality of our performances too often has been alarming, beyond injury/fatigue excuses. We arent doing the basics well. I do know there wont be a better chance to change and clear deck. There is money and time. I dont have confidence in who we would bring in thats better though.

Financial department and recruiting probably hinges on it to be fair. But it is Howe and anyone that is rooting for him that should care. While we inched further away from it we still have a chance for europe. Not qualifying for Europe's given our spend and no cup is the ultimate fail from big expenditure. With European qualification I can see him saying himself. Without it I think ownership is fully justified making a management change and there will be few people legitimately arguing. These last 7 games are everything for Howes future imo.

Whether people care to admit it or not I expect there are more people that are ok with Eddie not being here next season than not. To Eddie's aid we dont have owners that understand the fan mindset here so I doubt he is judged from these two derby performances. It hurts, it should do. But how we react next game and after will decide his fate.

We defend with absolute fear this season and attack with too much patience.

He is absolutely in danger. If we dont get Europe that might be it. Its the perfect timing for a new manager. So many players out of contract. Already money to spend and top players likely leaving to add to that pot. Still think he will get the summer. If there is no Europe, the signings we bring in will need a coach like Eddie as we are back to building phase not level up phase.
