Honestly think a back 4 of Gamez, Mbemba, Lascelles and Dummett would be brilliant in the championship. Full backs who defend first and keep us solid and a young CB partnership that mixes strength, pace and both good in the air. Love it.

Who is/was the best Championship CB?

I imagine he'll be a nailed on starter. How are his crosses? His crossing is average, I'd say. He used to have a great engine (he's 31 now, so we'll see if he still has that) and by all accounts is a solid defender. He's not a flashy player, really, but very dependable. To be very honest, I don't think Janmaat's attacking side has looked all too great since flashes in his first season with us. He was very aggressive hitting driven balls and taking shots early-on but later on felt he was somewhat overrated going forward.

Captains are important in every team sport, downplaying the importance of one is definitely belittling the whole team and "locker room" morale that you see discussed and emphasized by good managers and coaches of all sports.

For top of the La Liga he certainly wasn't good enough to start, but do think I can forgive him for hating Neymar as he's a decent player and should fit in very well with our team. You've come a long way Flippy, maturing into a nice young man.

Siem De Jong would be my choice if he was fit and a sure starter, but he's not and could be gone. Always felt Sissoko would get it as Rafa seems to rate him and I think when he's all-in he seemed to thrive on it late last year....but IMO it should go to Lascelles or someone new we sign who is a legit proven captain.

tons of people on this forum have said the same about Moussa and Gini. A massive offer should be the only reason to sell, and I'd be happy to if we get a massive offer for both - Rafa will use those funds to buy us better players anyway.
