Again, I really don't think we've ever been truly in for him.
-
if we had hired Richard Hughes, would you have said the same thing?

have a forum of ppl obsessed with us finding new names yet also bemoan that transfers take time, years and years of scouting and relationship building and we can't be knee jerk, so when we do move on someone we've heard or been linked with in the past, it becomes "well this list is old" and repeats the cycle of wanting new names.

Just my opinion, I am sort of sick of having to defend my own analysis on a player who I've watched a lot over the last 2 seasons (Jackson). We are where we are and our star striker has made it even more difficult for us. I have a different view point on what a 29-32 year old player does for us on PSR in the near term as I still have some hope and care that we perform our best over 4 competitions and 4 chances to make memories and maybe nick a trophy. I never walked away when Ashley was taking the piss, I never walked away when the PL was blocking our sale, I would never consider it now despite the league's rules continuing to work against us and i wouldn't consider it even if I am upset with PIF/RB with how they've handled the boardroom/executive positions.

i assume you're thinking we have 150m to spend based on the various sources in the internet? chelsea prob need more head room next season - loan with option to buy could suit us and them.

Keep Isak. Spend 50-60m on Jackson as his backup/rotation/partner. Move Isak next summer, go and sign another striker next summer. Be happy with that. As i said before, Jackson needs work but he presses well, plays transition football well, and believe Howe's team would fix many of his issues in due time.

I applaud we made a move, aggressively and likely were close to getting it done. Hindsight is 20/20 but i wish we went this aggressively after JP or Ekitke and paid the # the selling club wanted on 1st or 2nd bid and tried to nail it down faster. But there is no telling or worth wasting time predicting if Chelsea and Liverpool still dont get that last call from the agent to get it done. No issue with our transfer team here. I still hope the window shuts with us not selling Isak and spending whatever is needed to get an additional striker in.

Pope and Ramsdale are the 1a/1b. Ruddy, Gillespie there for the vibes. Thompson may or may not be someone who gets loaned out?

Can't stop watching this. Fantastic movie by the way.
-
I am not even fussed at all about losing out on him like I was with Pedro and Ekitke.
-
Strangest deal out there. Again, only we can push the boat out aggressively and make our club record offer for a striker and somehow our bid is used against us. Transfers these days are fucking naff.
-
Ah man, would kill for Gallagher at that price.
-
This thread has made the perma assumption that we will bid 80m and spend the isak money on him when we haven’t sold him yet. It’s bonkers.
-
We haven’t bid for him. We were just told what Chelsea value him at.
-
whole forum wanted to puke when JP was linked with his 4 goals in open play
-
Best of luck to him. Get choked up when a long standing playing leaves.
-
We have a manager who improves attackers.
-
Only us, in the most desperate of situations, we bid our club record and the fee is highest, acceptable and yet, even tho the player likes us, he just likes Man United more. And Man United can casually negotiate this to conclusion.

you should send them clips of the Newcastle double over them and their cup final loss.

One of my best friends is Korean, he and his boys are buzzzzzzing over there.

I can’t wait for Son to hit up Parks in KTown. @oldtype I can’t wait to hear your spots.

You should write a letter to Eddie and tell him that.

Almost like career football scouts know more than fans in terms of talent id?
