Aye. No club can really keep hold of two top keepers. I think we kept the right one, it is a shame to see a local lad come good leave for elsewhere, though. Though Timmy may be more Geordie than Forster now. He f***ing loves the Toon. Agreed Flip side, its good to see the local lad do the business and make something of his career as well. Its not like we sold him and picked an inferior keeper - we sold him and kept the Dutch #1. Sods law when we have two top class youngsters they'd come through in the one position you can't play them both in. Agreed, wish he was in another position!
  2. I'd like to see England get a collar on the kit, always felt English national team kits looked better with a collar... USA's will probably never have one, shame.

I think it would be the best time to bring him back, after the international break, into the 11 and playing along-side or behind Remy up top if we are to persist with 2 banks of 4 in defense & midfield. Team on the back of 2 big wins, players in form, crowd up for it, workman mentality and unity built within those lads who've played the last 2 matches -- he's enter a positive first team 11 where he's not required to do everything.

  5. I bet, overall, the World Cup kits for every nation will have to stick those guidelines (minus Brazil) but they'll have alternate shorts/socks that stick to the traditional colors for post cup or pre cup friendlies?

Bang on the money. There's a modicum of hope that the ball will stick up there for a bit. I see the reasoning there Just think perhaps at home, the Ben Arfa effect for the match > hope the ball sticks to Shola for a bit. The latter making more sense away from home though.
  7. Assumed everyone gets new kits for World Cup, companies don't care about consumers - only new products = more sales. :-/ Hopefully it wont look exactly like my USA Centenary kit. Although, I'm just not sure what differences one can make when white and blue are the main colors of the home kit and they have to be 1 color.

I do agree...Just rather he play than Shola or Cisse atm.

We were never going to hold on to him, but wish we had just continued to loan him out or something....

I just think if we are going to go the route we are currently on; this personnel gives us the most flexibility to go 4-5-1, 4-4-2 and 4-3-3. Not that I enjoy AP chopping and changing the system throughout a match either. Ben Arfa will be entering a team full of confidence and in good form, putting him further up top frees him from having to track players bombing down the wings, and if he needs to up his work rate its in the middle of the park. If our ball winners get it back the ball goes to Cabaye, HBA or Remy vs. Cisse/Shola who are prone to losing the ball or playing an awful pass.

For Norwich I'd play this way if we want to continue our AP classic defensive approach and moments of magic. 4-5-1: Krul, Anita, Willo, Mapou, Santon, Sissoko, Cabaye, Tiote, Gouffran, HBA, Remy This formation requires HBA to play support behind Remy with freedom to move about in space behind and link up play, slow things down when need be with his good close control & lay offs (when he's on form, hes excellent at it) and finally to dribble and create havoc in attack. This isn't my ideal formation, I much prefer a 4-3-3 and Remy attacking from wide left...this formation also gives up some optionality to go 4-3-3 if it needs to be changed.
  12. About once a match he gets a rush of blood and will play a first time ball into feet that could be classed as semi dangerous or will do a random step over or something in attacking position. He did it vs. Spurs after a free kick or something

Sometimes I wish KK wouldn't talk about this stuff b/c too many what-ifs run through the mind and I get down about it all. Wish he could run this club man.

    Loïc Remy

I'm sure we have a contractual price and first option to buy him agreed with QPR. The player himself would just need to agree to a deal with us. Whether that's the stumbling block is anyone's guess. Like I said, I think if we have a good season he'll sign on permanently provided we offer same wages we were offering now/January when he nearly agreed to join.
  16. He needs to work on his offensive side of his game, I've no doubt he's continuing to mature as a defender. While still young he's still assured and when he's not caught out he does the business. Think he sometimes also allows the crosser to get on his preferred foot a bit too much as well; but he'll learn from that. If he's going to be attacking, he needs to offer more to us then -- be it shoot, cut in and play it in behind the defense etc. He's a work in progress who I'm tough on because I expect more from him because he clearly has all of the ability, pace and size to be a top left back.
  17. You would have done the same to those idiots who were taking our ladies' seats at the bar in Orlando as well. Thankfully idiot no.2 realized his little friend was a few moments away from getting decked. Was awesome man. I got some s*** from my Mrs the next day about that, mate. Namely because the guy I put my hands on wasn't even in either of their seats. f***ing booze, cringeworthy. They were in the general area, blocking their access to those seats. The near-decking was a valid outcome IMO
  18. An NUFC Tv video a few years back had Perch the hardest shot fwiw
  19. SDNews not report the Rooney thing?
  20. One of the few out there that would frighten Ron, holy s***. Not sure I'd quite be frightened, bruv, but I certainly wouldn't be giving him any free shots. BOOM. Hah, even better.
