Not at all... playing hard and showing desire isn't the same thing as playing well. You'll have hustle. You won't have composure and control. I'm not talking about hustle alone. They absolutely tend to be far more compact and defensively stout against teams who can move the ball and score. Whether it's good enough is another question, but some of the best performances of the past few years have come from defend-and-counter play against top teams. Good luck to England in their group. I'm not going to be some miserable fucking bastard and go into their thread and talk about the current state of their team. I hope both of our countries get through and try and make a shock run deep into the cup. Fuck off with this negativity.

Debuchy should probably be the main guy on the edge of box trying to get any scraps for the volley. I was absolutely over the moon we signed him and then began to question if he was really all-that, esp after City this season but he's proven his true quality each week. Players today worth 4-5x that in transfer fees with not even 1/2 the skill and ability. We signed a 28-29 year old Les Ferdinand on the back of nearly 3 20+ goal seasons for 6M. Amazing that he then went on to put in 29 and 21 with us the following 2 seasons...but still only got back 6M for him.

2 Questions for any of my fellow US based people... 1) How long does it take for the replays to be available for full matches? Esp if our match is at 245p EST on Wednesday? 2) NBC's website says the match will be on Live Extra Time on UVerse channel 1697, but the program guide on the U-Verse site and on the cable box itself says it will be Spurs match - with no mention of our match on the guide. Also, none of the overflow channels match up to the schedule. Do they generally adjust pre-match? I generally just go there night before or day-of and find it and don't pay much attention to the schedule, but asking b/c I will be on the road and am a little confused as to the wrong schedule on the U-Verse guide / NBC's programming schedule -- difficult to set the DVR. Thanks for the help in advance, if anyone can help.

Fwiw I thought Arlo White did great job commentating our match despite his usual mistake or two. He being he voice for the USA coverage he did well to paint the past and present status of the club.

I'm very concerned with our inability to kill games off. We've been fortunate to have great team defensive performances and I'll never argue with the results - but this was a match that needed killing off. Really hope we go in and sign a target man striker to pair with Remy capable of doing the Shola role better; if that's how we're going to play for the foreseeable future.

Still not a fan of his but I won't argue with the league table.
