the result doesn't change my overall feelings towards this man.
-
Class today, so chuffed for him - this is the type of result and performance from him personally that will buoy him and hopefully spur him on. He needed a big day against a top side, and he's done just that.
-
That little interchange with Gabby, using his weight to get into space, the dink and pass - just first class stuff.

If this fucking bellend could see what today was, and what this group of players would be capable of with a stronger manager and some decent investment in the squad...that's all he has to do. The crowd will turn up, it will buy shirts, it will be buzzing, and he can enjoy his merry fucking life and peddle his cheap fucking sports direct brand around.

This fucking club man, insane. Really, just insane. My head is spinning.

Don't think Santon has had much to do but agree with the rest. Remy can't use his pace there and Sissoko can't use his drive on that right hand side. Need to get Benny on for Shola and move Gouff up top and Remy + Benny on his sides. You know this, and I know this, and everyone with an ounce of brainpower knows this. "What the heck is quinoa"

If we had any cutting edge we may have created a few more meaningful chances

May step away from all of this until Ashley and Pardew are gone. -

Soon as the press ban happened, I thought the same. -

I'm reserving all of my anger for after the match thread. Seething at this 11. -

Remy would have scored one of those chances imo.

So we wanted to loan a Chelsea player and Mourinho sent him to Everton, some mate. Thought the same thing.

Remember him lightning through that Everton midfield and defense when he first signed for us?

He also gets on with Pardew, who always rates him in the press. Its probably a respect thing for Bobby, Newcastle United in general (pre Ashley), Alan Pardew etc. He full on knows they have it in them to destroy us. -

clubs are being sold at the price it costs to purchase some of the top players in the world. To think a player costs more than ownership interest in a club is insane to me as well. -
I haven't gotten a chance to see the match yet as I'm travelling for work, but sounds encouraging. He seems to be playing really well with Mike Williamson; assuming Willo is organizing the back line as well.

No business having a team in Miami other than Becks wanting to buy a home down there for his family. Commish needs to veto that idea. Detroit seems a reborn city in terms of sports these days. Commish should suggest Detroit to Becks

Would like to think its completely separate but wishful thinking has me hoping its all related and he's on his way out.

You shouldn't need a tin hat. Anyone who doesn't realise the brilliance of Keegan needs locking up. The best manager we'll ever see at NUFC. I am quite curious as to whether Keegan would be capable of working with someone who has similar philosophies as Mike Ashley but is less spiteful/egotistical/crazy. In the abstract, I'm quite for the idea of being frugal, buying low and selling high, and having a director of football (that's not Joe Kinnear). I'd like to see an owner who would be able to integrate those philosophies with other forward-thinking measures like integration of advanced statistics, scientific conditioning, and an organizational effort to help players settle down/learn the language. I wonder if Keegan would be okay with those circumstances if he actually got along with the owner and had a DoF he could respect. Interesting points. I believe the forward thinking advanced statistics, scientific conditioning, and psychological/organizational effort for settling, regaining confidence and form, language etc. SHOULD be incorporated in any modern day top division club. I'll add that I don't mind a "frugal" owner, if he was someone who preferred to sanction the EXACT same transfer policy (using this as a base case) but the club utilized a modern medical/sports science to gain advantages via conditioning + a very shrewd tactical manager who was a bit of a maverick, I'd be all over it . You could say that is someone like Mauricio Pochettino. But the above to me is clear. The owner does not want to fund major transfers, fine. The owner is taking advantage of unique scouting situations to obtain young players who have potential. The owner has addressed strength, conditioning, and psychology of his players by employing best-in-class practices as a commitment to keeping the playing squad fit and healthy. The owner has employed a manager who uses his tactical knowledge of the game to constantly adapt and be proactive getting the best out of the players that are signed. This is ambitious, this is addressing the money problem or issue and finding ways around it to get on as level a playing field as possible.

Krul Williamson Yanga-Mbiwa Debuchy Dummett Tiote Anita Sissoko Marveaux Sammy Cisse

I get the idea that Pardew won't be fired. As long as he stays in-line with the press message of Mike Ashley he's safe from the line of fire.
-
Krul Williamson Yanga-Mbiwa Debuchy Dummett Anita Cabaye Sissoko Marveaux Remy Cisse ...Things fall apart, we go 4-4-2 and Sissoko plays wide left, then switches for Marv who gets subbed for Gouffran.

I'd be bothered in that I can't believe a player who scored those quality goals could completely fall apart like he has since...shocking really. Those goals were flukes man, I've seen flukey goals or 1 offs by a player who just hits the ball right at that moment...
