  1. None of the previous 3 have shown any leadership, neither has Coloccini of course. At least this lad seems to shout orders and try to organise from what I've seen. I've seen the sum total of one game like but its still more leadership shown in one game than Coloccini has shown all season. However, Siem and Gini were lauded for their captaincy and leadership. I recall Hilton being the guy at Montpellier who shouted the most fwiw.
  2. We've signed MYM, Siem De Jong, Wijnaldum, and now Saivet who were captains of their club - yet, somehow, Colo has retained the fucking armband. Fuck sake
  3. probably likely to find our next 15 targets or linked names in the press from that list of players too
  4. Hopefully the change of scenery + Shelvey getting license to do what he does best and drive the team forward and pass the ball about and get goals will get him back to his best.
  5. they represent basically anyone good in France
  6. http://www.transfermarkt.com/mondial-sport-management-amp-consulting-sarl/beraterfirma/berater/2106 And other players include Coutinho and Cavani, what's your point?
  7. Bordeaux's kit in that link looks like ours
  8. He was crap man. Could hit a decent long range pass, but then would stand there for five seconds admiring it. Had no common sense as a footballer, his movement off the ball was woeful which meant he never actually got the ball in a position to do anything with it. The fact he's had three clubs since us and done little at any of them speaks volumes. Guthrie wasn't crap like. Limited definitely, but not in any way crap. I don't believe in looking at player's or manager's abilities outside of when they were here anyway because it changes nothing. Guthrie had had very good seasons with us in 09/10 and 11/12 and nothing before or since really changes that. short term memories around because we absolutley needed him to step in Cabaye's role and performed when we needed it. Shame his fitness levels were not very good because he was technically a good free kick taker, passer of the ball, and had some good vision too. Looking back wistfully on Guthrie's time here just shows have starved we've been for quality footballers in the middle over the last decade. don't disagree with that statement to be honest, fuck sake.
  9. I didn't even say great, I said very good. Aye, I did and that's probably too much praise, but none-the-less Guthrie was a good player for us in those 2 seasons you mentioned.

  11. Nothing we have done in central midfield has worked. Will these work? No clue but fuck sake something needs to change.
  12. Guthrie was great before needlessly leaving. He was crucial that season man.
  13. He's an upgrade on Colback. So im happy with it. Hope this one happens because his offensive side of his game is positive. Also if he does well and goes to the euros we'll have one newcastle player for England which is cool
  14. Well, I've seen this guy like twice and he looked alright to me. Not sure how he handles this next step should he officially join us but our midfield engine needs something because we sure as hell have to try something new or we're dropping.
  15. Shelvey and Salvet central. Wijnaldum #10. Thauvin wide left. Ayoze up top. Sissoko wide right? Or Ayoze wide left. Mitro/New Cf up top and Sissoko wide right?
  16. Give him a nice inflationary 3% increase

'It's as though we're s*** and lose every week without even scoring a goal, I just can't understand it' Exactly, Talk is cheap Steve, quit telling us about effort and all that - we want to stop losing, and stop dropping out of Cups at the first doing.

Completely safe though And I had to defend why I had a go at him in the match thread today. prior to the 1-0 loss today. you can't be fair with this club, they've f***ed us about a billion times and people want to be nice. You had to defend yourself because you were contradicting yourself You've really taken it to heart You're right, I didn't clearly retract what I was saying earlier, but anyway...I'm just frustrated dude - unsurprised we crashed out of the FA Cup again but always difficult to stomach losses, even though we've had a billion over the last few years.
