Look man, he played for us in our absolute rockiest of bottoms when we couldn't score a fucking goal to save our life in a team that looked as timid, boring, and weak as anything I've ever seen from us. We looked as shit if not shittier than the relegation season. I can't imagine anyone bar Demba Ba and Loic Remy scoring goals for us. He played fucking awful for us don't get me wrong, but a lacking confidence striker who relies on service who plays for a team at its lowest, not creating chances isn't going to score a single fucking goal.

What we sorely lacked was Sammy or (Aarons) running at Debuchy and Mertesacker.

That is partly true to be fair, Bruce was getting a lot of love at the time. I remember posts claiming he was one of the best managers in the league, they'd kill to have him manage us etc and there was a lot of 'agent Brucie' talk about him rescuing Hatem and going to be getting the best out of him in this exciting Hull side he's putting together. They cannot possibly be people in the literal sense. Glad I missed that though as it sounds absolutely horrific When you go and sign Tom Ince, Gaston, Hatem, Diame and Abel Hernandez you look at those and say hmm, some good quality players there - looks like an exciting team on paper.
