i call that "business fraud"

This argument can work both way isnt it? If Cabella adapts well, the blame would be on HBA. A big IF though.
-
I think they have decided to let him rot in the reserves for the whole season and then walk out on a free. I am not so sure whether he can shine in other major clubs to prove Pardew's wrong. And in that case, the pundit would say Pardew was right, and HBA's career is finished.
-
Some of them deserved to be given up tbh.
-
That's why I don't regard him as the best player ever. On par with Cruyff and Zidane, but not a level above.
-
I think both Cristiano and Messi are relatively poor in leading a team and bringing out the best of their teammates.
-
I dun quite buy the argument of fatigue. He got 3 days to rest. He is at 27, career peak, and has been "conserving energy" for 1 year already, 1 year ffs. I would rather believe it is a mental problem. If he really feels like no energy to run at all, he should immediately take a break from football and undergo thorough medical check. This is extremely unusual for any professional footballer nowadays.

One of the greatest, but definitely not the best ever. Kinda done and dusted in my opinion.
-
He's not 35, he'll play at other WCs before his career is done. Given his decline in the last 2 years it'd be foolish to assume we'll see anything even shadowing his best in 4 years time. exactly. his declining rate is ridiculous. There's a stat that his distance covered is even less than Neuer in the whole tournament. This is extremely worrying
-
he would be remembered as another cruyff, not maradona
-
yes, bastian mom, historical performance
-
lavezzi is the mom so far
-
neymar over messi. agree with all other positions for the first one
-
and felipao, i understand you rate Luiz, with sound reasons, but i can swear that Brazil will never win the world cuo again if Luiz's there. He is exactly the type of defenders that you couldnt rely on in a tournament. 5 excellent games, 1 disaster, done. Ability-wise he is world best, but tournament requires you to perform consistently and make no error in every game, EVERY. i am not solely blaming him for this world cup (scolari should be the one), but going forward it is better to find another defender to parter with Thiago.
-
He should have included Ronaldinho. Thats the worst selection error ever.
-
janmaat for 5m is just "fair" price. he doesnt worth any fee above 6m imo. An average RB, good at both ends, but lack the pace to deal with EPL wingers.

i am missing Brazil

I disagree that Brazil's squad wasn't good enough to win this World Cup. Up there with the best imho in terms of individual players' quality, and certainly much better than ours. It wasn't good enough. This team was a lot weaker than the one in 2002. No strikers (Ronaldo). No magician except Neymar (Ronaldinho and Rivaldo). No reliable holding midfielders (Kleberson and Gilberto Silva). No reliable full backs (Carlos and Cafu). While Thiago and Luiz are the strongest CB partnership in the world, they have no backups. Whether it is "good enough" depends on your opponent as well. Germany is the strongest in the planet right now, no question. This Brazil will never be able to beat this Germany. Netherlands got Robben, the best player in this World Cup. That's enough. He can win you all matches as long as you don't concede much at the back.
-
Cabella, one more striker, one more right back, reinstate MYM, no more player sold except Debuchy, then I am satisfied.
-
Of course, why not, we've played before with him without Thiago and done good. Was all a freak accident. If that's what your football association think there is no chance you will win the 2018 World Cup, no chance. There was nothing accidental about it I'm afraid. It was a tactical shambles of the highest order. I think what Felipao means was the "Luiz Explosion" was a freak accident, not the result. That said, whether David Luiz is a good defender is extremely controversial already.
-
No, Felipao, you get it wrong. What I mean is the quality of players, not their performance. Even with Thiago Silva and Neymar, the statement still stands - Germany is much, much stronger than Brazil. Brazil has no more playmaker once Neymar's done, while Germany is putting a 35m rated Gotze firmly on the bench. Looking back, the only way for Brazil to win was to do a "Mourinho Bus". My question, or my point is, would you, a die hard supporter for the Yellow, accept such tactic on your home ground? Scolari "got it super wrong" by trying to overpower Germany purely by emotion and home pressure and was spectacularly backfired. The sad thing is probably he has no choice because no one can accept Brazil to play anti-football, which I think is the only way for Brazil to win last night.
-
Different perspective I would say. What I observed was Germany was inviting Brazil to attack in order to make more effective counters. That was Germany's tactic, and it worked --- Brazil seemed to have the control, but it was Germany which apparently had higher chance to score. To be fair, Felipao, it was a no match. It is not a shame to accept the fact that Germany outclassed Brazil in nearly EVERY position.

no riots yet?

Would Felipao suicide?

I really cannot give Wilmots any credit for THAT performance against Argentina. The team is totally broken and disjointed. No communication, no movement, no chemistry. Fair play to say "well done to achieve the target", but it is simple: would you welcome Wilmots to be your manager? The answer is fucking straight forward isn't it?
