No way. We still hv a 25% future fees clause. In that case we should only offer (10 - 5)*75%=3.75m

problem of galaxy nexus

he is not gone yet because he is waiting for the best offer. Again i find it hard to believe we restart our striker hunt suddenly . The worst case could.be that a.few.clubs already matched the clause and we are forced to buy a new one withkn rwenty days. The clause is definitely lower than it should.be even considering his.knees. however ashley.co could accept that if signjng Ba could.save the club the cost of.buying another striker. Ba is actually a contingency plan and it kinda worked. Things all add up logically i would.say.

He is as good.as.gone

That's why we "are forced" to restart our striker hunt suddenly. Simple, his agent is trying to engineer a move this January to earn commission and inform all other parties about this clauses, and that the club knows the chance of keeping him is very slim, since we will not give him any wages higher than 60k. I don't know who should I blame. In fact, even that cunt didn't tell the world about this, I am pretty sure all the clubs know this already from Ba's agent.

No, it looks like Pardew's now trying to suggest this was the case, after previously saying he didn't think Ben Arfa 'had the relish' for that position. I'm more than prepared for the possibility that it was Ben Arfa's choice. But after seeing how obviously disappointed he was when Sammy came on at LW instead of him and knowing Pardew's stubborn streak, I think this cryptic stuff could be an attempt by Pardew to put him on the wing without having to admit he was wrong. Spectacularly wrong. When we first signed Ben Arfa on loan lots of the reports in France suggested one of the reasons for him wanting to come here were because Hughton had promised to use him in his preferred no. 10 position. I don't doubt at all that HBA had made it known to Pardew that he'd like to play the number 10 role preferably. Whether he refused to play wing is another question. Well he didn't do a good job of keeping that promise since he only played him on the wing (admittedly it was only a few games) Personally I am inclined to go with the theory that it was Pardew that didn't want him out wide. I find it very difficult to believe HBA would rather be on the bench than play out wide I think the case is Pardew knew HBA didn't want to be a long-term winger and thus not a long term solution and preferred to train up Obertan instead. Hard to believe HBA preferred bench then playing out of position at this moment.

wait, all draws are void then?
-
Seriously, HBA is not a long term solution for our right wing. He is willing to play there in order to get back into business'. But afterward he would again demanding to play at the no.10 position. I did remember there were rumours back at October that HBA "wants to play at centre rather than at sidelines". Pardew's comments are consistent to that rumour.

Even without the clause, I think mike will sell him for any offer higher than 20m
-
I believe he has a clause, remember when he signed he had more than one suitor and he put a pretty good clause in his west ham deal. But I don't believe it is £10m more like double that. Relegation release clauses are fairly common in this country, minimum fee release clauses aren't. Who knows, but I'd be very surprised. I am not surprised given the situation at that time. We are only willing to offer 40k (the reported wages) which is fairly low for a striker who transferred for free. So fair play to him to insert a clause in order to protect his future - either by renegotiating a new contract with us or to demand a higher wages from other clubs. 10m seems to be the right price (at that moment) as well.

.....that is chinese, not korean.
-
Seriously, I doubt Sammy could do a better job than Obertan, and I couldnt see HBA playing right wing either.
-
So u are comparing a top 4 team with a pair of superb wingers, the dynamite Shearer Bellamy combo and the Speed Dyer partnership, with our team that is full of incompetent players like obertan and Simpson? Seriously, if u rlly think we got a great squad of players, then sorry this is not the case. And for those manager u mentioned, where are their teams finished? or should we.play like Blackpool last season? Naive?
-
Top priority in January imo, even if it's overpriced. We need a quality right back / left back to stop the stupid long ball tactics.
-
Drop him. He really needs a rest. He is so tired that he even cannot run as fast as before.
-
Pardew's biggest achievement is building up a tight defense and a strong core, which was based on the leftover of Hughton. In terms of attacking play, to be honest, neither are at much fault for this. To play attacking and attractive football you have to have defenders and midfielders who are able to make short passes. Or else they can just hoof it. There's a point mentioned in the match thread which is very valid - Colo seems to pass back the ball to Krul a lot more than before. Well this is simple, Simpson and Willi couldn't make short passes with the midfielders well, Raylor is just average, so the opponents only need to block Colo's passing options, and we will end up hoofing the ball forward by Krul, Willi or Simpson. I wonder how we can play like Arsenal with players like these. Thus I am not blaming Pardew much for the long ball tactics. I would say it is extremely worrying though becoz it seems like our weaknesses have been found out by other teams, especially after the loss of Saylor. Thus I do prefer to sign defenders rather than strikers in this window, especially a right back.
-
His passing is extremely poor, reminds me of Butt
-
The only positives i can take from him is we can sign a right back or left back soon.
-
He played much better today, comparing with his performance earlier this season.
-
It is just protection. You guys think too much. Ramsay rarely had much playing time for the first few months after recovering from the injury. Said it before here - when a player is not fully adapted to such a physical game, it is very dangerous since he doesn't know how to protect himself by correctly anticipating tackles. That's why he got a broken leg from De Jong - such tackle won't exist in France. It's obvious to me that HBA is stilling learning the EPL games and giving him time to play in every matches, especially when the opponent is starting to wear down, isn't that much a problem to me. Why not just have a little bit patience for the manager and the players, after such a long disastrous period since the hiring of Souness? This is just our 2nd season after promotion FFS.
-
He has mental problem. Should go and see a doctor before next match, or next club.
-
FFS, you have to give him experience against big teams. That's the price we have to pay for bringing these youngsters up. This is not FM. I am sure Vuckic takes a huge lot from this match where he has had very little time and space to play with. Of coz it's easy to say "let him shine against the weak teams and let him wait for the big teams", seems the best for every parties and we don't need to pay the education cost eh? If you know this player has a great future, play him, don't hide him against the superior sides. That's how players like Gerrard and Totti becomes legendary players. They look shit and out of their depth during their early days as well.
-
And I wonder on what basis he can reject a new contract.
-
Seriously, Jonas is even worse than Obertan
