The thing he learn is we are not a really strong team and we shouldn't play like man utd to dictate the game and play a high line defense. There is a reason why we play that negative but get the three points today.

He looks a lot slower, which is very worrying. Pace is his best (and only) weapon.

Way better than Gosling. Would like to see him partnering Cabaye. That would be an awesome combination with devastating long shot ability.

There is a serious lack of communication between the full backs and the central midfielders which forced the full backs with no option but to hoof it long. I am not criticizing Haris for this but obviously Cabaye did come back deep to take the ball forward which we are seriously lacking today. Tiote on the other hand is simply shocking, virtually non-existing both attacking and defending. Pardew has some shocking decisions, but I would say the players are equally at fault.

Outplayed ? Hasnt even touched the ball That pretty much just backs up the point that they've been outplayed. Santos yes, but how can Neymar be outplayed if he hasnt even gotten a pass? That's the only thing you can defend after this match. Still, paying anything over 30m for Neymar is insane, nevermind the 50m price quoted by the club and the local media.

He is a decent defensive midfielder Just don't put him at defense, he would do ok. Can't blame him much today because it's insane to expect him winning header from Holt or Morison.

I think it's because a critical factor for a solid defense is mutual understanding among the defenders. Santon hasn't develop a solid understanding with the other defenders yet. I can't criticize Pardew's decision yet because it's his trust on the back four leads to our successful start of the season, having the best defense record in the league. However with some injuries I'd expect he made some rotation now.
