you got me wrong. I have absolutely no hatred nor anger towards him, in fact I appreciate his contribution during that loan spell, it kinda save our season and our clubs fortune however you need to take a longer look at Targetts career. He is a solid LB, nothing stand out but solid at defence, rarely commit mistakes and done his job. Always a 7/10 guy. Every team know he is limited, he is a usable rotational player. He has arguably his best form in life when he was on loan playing for us. I was very happy that we got a solid LB for just 10m. But now you need to take his injury into consideration. There’s none in the world who could guarantee a player to make full recovery after these kinda injuries, and in fact, most of the time, the player cannot. It may affect his burst of speed, his agility, turning, etc. we all don’t know. What we know is, for a player like Targett, any impact on his body would be devastating because he would no longer be as solid as before, which was exactly what he had been displaying since returning from injury. He became a 5/10 guy. for other players, say Trippier, even if he lost his pace, he still has lots of things to contribute. Even HBA could dribble for fun despite losing his pace a bit after that incident. For Targett, once he lose his reliability he has nothing left. In other words he is on his way to be another Dummett, who is deemed as rubbish by many people here. we should buy a new LB asap because we cannot count on Targett anymore. It’s a fucking jackpot if he can be solid again this season. We should not gamble on this.

I stand by my words, Targett is a liability now. If you don’t think so, fine, let his performance (if Howe really ever play him again) prove our point. For the last six months, basically every week I saw comments like “how in the earth Targett not back to the starting lineup” “Howe really lost it by sticking with Burn”. And, in all his performance as listed in your reply, he did nothing but keep on making mistakes, get passed easily by opponents, and even now not showing any glimpse or signs that he is back to his form pre-injury in recent friendlies. if you really still think he is fine and we can rely on him, it’s up to you. Just that obviously Howe doesn’t think so. Burn was completely burnt out in the second half of last season, it’s so fucking obvious and even I was shouting for giving him a rest, yet Howe still kept him in the starting lineup every fucking game. if all these hints still couldn’t ring your alarm, it’s your problem. I will obviously @you again once Targett lose us any game in the coming season.

name one game that he is solid and didn’t commit mistakes? He even looks fucking shakey during those 15 mins sub-in time. I am surprised that some really thinks he is still reliable. If that’s the case why are we shouting for a new LB asap?
-
= Targetts performance these six months. those who say he is “reliable” as a LB now, I can only assume he didn’t really watch the game and just look at stats or past memories.
-
no, I mean Targett, who has been completely rubbish since back from injury. I ain’t kidding.
-
you must have missed all his games these 6 months
-
Out of all the defenders we have now, Burn is the one that we can’t afford having any injury. that’s why we need a new LB asap.
-
We will definitely have one more signing at the very least. No way we could survive this season without bringing in one more defender. Absolutely no way.

Our youth academy finally functioning well and start to deliver after we binned off Beardsley

Interesting show. I thought he is a striker but Howe is playing him as a CM.

You know what? I don’t rate Diaby that high too. That’s why I HATE this trade. I would even prefer to risk someone with higher ceiling on a position that we need upgrades, rather than spending on someone that cannot massively improve our starting eleven AND we have enough covers on left wing. Probably even Maddison would be a better choice
-
I really don’t like this trade. I mean, if we really sell ASM, I do expect we would go big on someone like Kvara that would be a certain starter on the left. We have Gordon and Joelinton as cover for this position and why add another player that probably just similar to Gordon’s level? I would even prefer to just let Gordon start and buy an expensive right winger like Diaby. sorry guys I really don’t like this trade.

You can simply multiply ASMs transfer fee by 4. That would be roughly the additional funding available under the current FFP

Who is the average player going for 50m?
-
They spent just 8.5m on a young defender from Liverpool. I suggest those who think we can easily offload the deadwood or sell the player at a decent price, take a look at Transfermarkt, check the deals completed so far and see how this years market is really like.
-
Suggest a club that would spend 15m buying Murphy?
-
Sometimes I do think if I can be a footballer, I want to have a career like Burn
-
I can’t see any clubs bidding for ASM tbh. May be Spurs after they sold Kane.
-
Might not be. His reputation is pretty bad. If Lyon wants to cash in asap 20m might do it. That said I wonder why would Howe want him. He is exactly the type of player we shouldn’t want
-
I think we might have a fee agreed with Juventus for Chiesa and would take a shot on Barnes first. If Leicester reject this we will go for Chiesa
-
I take my words back. 25m is fine. I would have him now. I was expecting 40m. 25m for a quality cover is fair enough.
-
Gordon > Ruiz. Next please.

I heard he is sexy
