That is the key but these players wont move. Ideally Dyer would be at the top of the list even though he's one of our better players but I doubt many teams will want to pay half of his wages let alone match it. We need to go back to the SBR system of buying young players for fairly high fees but modest wages. We've gone from the Jermaine Jenas' of the world to the Scott Parker's for much higher wages but very similar performances. We need a massive clear-out which should include the likes of Emre and Parker...unfortunately we don't have a Harry Redknapp or Big Sam who are capable of being the "clean-up man". Duff, Emre and Parker would make a start, that's probably £130k a week if not more. Could we even sell Carr or Babayaro?

Jenas=Parker

Alex Manninger wtf happened to him eh?
-
Wrong. There where only 3 Top clubs, Liverpool were not one. Liverpool, Newcastle and Villa all had a decent chance of finishing 4th. The performances where poor compared to the two seasons before but we where very efficient and very strong at home and we had a strong UEFA Cup run. But your right things where getting stale and we should of moved like Liverpool to ensure we got a man in soon after the season was over.
-
We got him to full fitness after 2 years of constant injuries, then farmed him out and sold him for no profit for him to go on to play the best footie of his life. Pat yourself on the back Fat Fred.
-
But we where consistant throughout. We didn't go on a really hot 10 or so game run when most teams where winding down.
-
That's the thing. We were so predictable but we got good results mostly. We'd see off most teams in the league bar a few miss-steps at home and draw alot of away games..we where all doom and gloom when we missed out on 4th by something like 5 points whilst we blew many leads away from home. Bellamy was out for a long period of that and when he came back he was marvellous..the start of the best period of his career imo. Didn't Robert get in double figures that season? These days we are drawing at home and losing away. *Reminisces about when 5th was a dissapointment**

was that when Freddy gave his Rolls Royce speech?
-
Inevitably yes

Maradona for the occassion alone. WC Quarter-final against a good England team (shit defending by good players imo). That lad who is loaned out by Chelsea who went from deep inside his half scored a great goal in the FA Cup.

Thats where i stopped reading. The thought of Roeder here next season is unbearable. Probably be sacked in September. I'm not even taking the piss either. I'd be irate of that happened....we know that's probably how it's going to turn out. -
Duff would've still been shit for Spurs.
-
What's wrong with leaving for £££££?
-
Aye, Rooney hasn't developed as much as Ronaldo in particular......wouldn't say he is THAT much better at 20 than he was at 17, whereas Ronaldo has added many more layers to his game.
-
If you could swap Roeder with another premiership manager ...

Mark Hughes for the toon -
Who has ever thought to themselves "You know what? I MUST visit the Ukraine this year!" Sounds.....wack.

Drogba and Ronaldo

I'd rather see a Man U V Chelsea final tbh. Man U V Rovers would probably be a non-event. As in one-sided? Blackburn have beaten Man U a few teams in recent weeks.
-
Roeder seems to rate Carr. He's probably getting at some of the foreign lads.
-
Sunderland or Man U?
-
Guess so. If he leaves Damien Duff should go as well, Spurs might still be interested,

Yeah tell me about it. Even under the dark dark Souness days I never lost interest in watching NUFC play but these days under Roeder I just don`t bother. I hated Souness for ruining our club, I hate Roeder for being Roeder. I think deep down in the pits of his stoney Scottish heart, Graeme Souness knew he was a prize prick. Roeder on the other hand I find conceited.
